I remember when Clemson had to upgrade facilities and staffs, etc to compete and rise up from the Hatfield/West/Bowden years. Dabo saw that and did what it took, along with the Clemson Admin, Trustees and IPTAY to fight and win that race. I know he understands the need to pay out the big $$$ to current players and I think he now sees the needs to change his recruiting practices as well get into the transfer portal else his legacy will slip away.

Dabo Swinney is a proud man and one with an ego. Snowflakes will say otherwise, but no man is as uber successful without being one. He will not go down without a fight. Changes are here and more coming.

Because we aren’t doing as of now and when we start I think we might start seeing flashes of 2015-2020

According to the AD/Dabo, Clemson will spend 80 % of the 20.3M on football or just north of $16M just for football. HOPEFULLY, that will allow us to at least compete on a more level playing field than now. Granted, we will either have to go into the transfer portal much more or offer bigger numbers to incoming freshman. My thought would be to go into the transfer portal more as they should be more proven.

Crazy times yes - but these kids could care less about PAW journey, degrees, bowling alleys, etc. They and their entourage just want to get paid. They will then buy what they want. It's a professional league now.

Get on board or get left behind.

(Ie football first). So how will the revenue share give some massive advantage over a program that they didn’t already have the advantage???

Rev share just creates more inflation in the NIL market.

All the revshare is going to do is drive up price

Every other elite program is going to do the same as us with their rev share and NIL stay the same. How does it change anything?

and may be used as a way to distance himself further from
NIL interaction as he seems averse to currently. I hope that is not the case. The revenue sharing will merely set a minimum wage and will have little impact on the usual suspects annually ranked in the top 15-20.
