What are you talking about? It proves that FSU is do deep that even with the 3rd string QB they could pull it off.

So Louisville was a good team? Not for 2-3 plays Clemson should have beaten FSU with Travis and we were not real good during that stretch.
I’m not for any B1G team being in because they will get exposed. Michigan could most afford to lose their QB seeing they are so run heavy but do feel the B1G is consistently over rated.

They beat a top 14 team (as ranked by the selection committee) by double digits…with a 3rd string freshman QB who will be back on the bench for the playoff.
Not saying it was a pretty game.
But facts are facts.

Louisville has now lost to Pitt, Kentucky, and a 3rd string QB FSU led team. Clemson would curb stomp Louisville and have no business being top 20.

Exhibit A: I give you Michigan. Their offense did nothing against Iowa. 147 yards passing and 66 yards rushing. 4 field goals and a punt return to Iowa’s 5 yard line. Should they be out of the playoffs?

The offense was very poor except for the tailback that was able to get yards against Louisville's rush defense. FSU's defense is legit and will keep them in games for a while What FSU needs is for Tate Rodemaker to be healthy for the playoffs and get a ton of first string offense practice before that time.

Last Tuesday FSU was getting the benefit of the doubt from committee that the team could show improvement at QB performance. It was taken into consideration when previous rankings was made made.
Last night showed there was little hope. Maybe QB2 would be better with a month to prepare. That is the guess for the committee.

If they "should" have dropped, it would have been after the UF game where they would have been over the shock of losing Travis and their performance in that game would have dictated it. It's revisionist to "go back" and do it now. They are right back in the same spot, roster wise, they were in after the UF game.
I don't think they have a snowball's chance in Hades of winning a game against Washington, Michigan, Texas, Bama or UGA with their current roster. I'd take any one of those teams and the points to cover.
The most shocking thing yesterday was FSU's defense. I expected Brohm to scheme Thrash open and Jordan to get consistent yardage. I did not see FSU's run defense having as much success as they did. Green's turn around this season reminds me of where Nate was last season against WF versus where he ended up at the end of the season. He played REALLY well last night. Lville had zero answer for Fiske and Verse. They handled Payton pretty well. His biggest play was batting down that pass after getting stuffed.

Quite simply UGa had not lost to Bama. That was the one event that could have, & likely will IMO, keep FSU out. After Bama miraculously survived the Auburn game no one anticipated they would beat the Dawgs. But they did. Now the SEC homers think they have a legit argument for UGa & Bama BOTH to be in the hunt. Personally I think the CFP committee will agree though I don’t.
