his issues later in the game?
I know there is no real answer.
Just asking for opinions.

DueWest Probably a great deal!
It's not normal and something you have to adjust to.
I know many people have never played sports, period, and won't get that. But, even something like having an ankle tapped can affect how you normally do business. Depending on the severity it can really hinder performance if it's enough that you're thinking about it instead of just going out and playing.
Just my opinion.

His left hand had the medical bandage on it. His right hand

Was not hurt. Still not sure if his left hand was.
Right now its a rumor.
Edited, I played sports. Still doesn't make me an expert.

It was NOT his right hand! Watch his interview after the game and it is evident the wound is on the dorsum of his LEFT hand. This should not affect his throwing. Others have incorrectly stated when it happened. It happened in the first drive when Ngata was flagged for a personal foul, he has said as much. Others have said it happened AFTER the goal line fumble. This is incorrect. Watch the replay of the fumble and there is clearly a bandage on the LEFT hand. Did this play a role in the fumble? Who can say. In my opinion the fumble was the result of a poor block on the defensive player who was allowed to strip tackle him from behind. So can we please put all these inaccuracies to rest? The injury occurred during the first drive and it was to his left hand, not his right.

The Ngata penalty was on the second drive not the first drive. The first play of the first drive DJ had a nice throw to Davis Allen for like 40 yards.

My bad about which drive the injury occurred. I forgot the second drive was the drive that ended with an interception and not the goal line fumble drive. Also, the interception was a well thrown ball, it was just late.

Cleated on either hand would have been a huge issue imo.

He had a few really weird looking passes after that. I know he wouldn’t blame it on that, but it seems to have had an effect.

I'm sure they STOMPED both his hands when he was down.

But the Left is the one with a huge piece of skin missing. The hand he had the ball in when he fumbled.
But he also lost grip of the ball with his right hand, which resulted in a sack.

Possibly a lot. However it is DJ and the coaches’ jobs to recognize when it has become a liability and come out of the game before turning it over 3 times.
I am just sick of this same MO from Syracuse. A decent conference would take action. There is no place for deliberate attempts to injure.

Agreed. Dino is a piece of #### for not suspending said player. We need to beat the #### out of them from Here on out. Do the same stuff if that is what they plan to do.. and it has only been Dino’s teams to try this crap.

Could have definitely contributed but thats on the coaches if they keep trotting an injured player out there who can't effectively play through it.

In closer review of that play…DJ should have handed to…
Oct 23, 2022, 12:02 PM
|
|
…Phil Mafah.
BOTH defenders had gotten into the backfield. There was NO WAY DJ could have gotten away.
He hands that ball to Mafah, and he scores instantly.
