our first game? I don't know how many we averaged last season but I'd imagine that Riley is gonna smoke that number, especially if Cade and co can keep the chains moving and getting first downs.

We ran 76.4 plays per game last year (16th nationally) but only managed 33.1 points per game (24th).
TCU ran 69.9 plays per game (71st) but scored 37.4 ppg (9th).
Just for reference, Clemson gained 412.9 ypg (41st) while TCU gained 442.5 (28th).
I think we see a lot more chunk plays which might mean our number of plays goes down, but if we stick it in the end zone instead of settling for three, that scoring could be back on par with 2018 (44 ppg).
I know a one-point win is still a win, but I am much more in favor of beating teams by four touchdowns so that I can eat during the second quarter without an upset stomach.

I hope about six or eight per drive!
With a great defense the opponents will average about a similar number before they punt.
The average score likely will be 84 - 0 !
