with the super easy schedule - 7 home games including 4 to start the season (UT Martin, Ball State, SC, UAB), 1 neutral site game, and only 4 road games. So, unless the coots don't do like last year starting slow and finishing strong, the dirty dawgs one big challenge may be at Tennessee in November.

Does it really matter who is on UGA's schedule? Opened last year with top 15 Oregon. We all saw how that went. The year before Georgia opened with top 5 Clemson, beat them. Anyone really think had Oklahoma remained on the schedule UGA doesn't beat them to the tune of 38 - 10?

Our opponents combined to go 80-70 (.533) last year. Clemson's opponents were 85-66 (.566). That's less than a half game difference per opponent. Not much. Clemson also has 7 home games including 3 of your first 4 (and how daunting is a trip to Duke anyway?). Realistically, very little difference in one of our easier schedules most UGA fans can ever remember.
Even with that said, it's not our fault Florida and Auburn have stunk it up lately, and maybe one of them puts it back together this year. But in any case, if the schedules were reversed, we'd be favored against everyone you play as well. Would y'all be favored at Knoxville??

I knew the ACC was tough, but those figures really prove what many have been saying for years, the ACC is undervalued and the SEC is overrated.

Yeah, I suppose there are a lot of different ways to rate strength of conferences, and the relative strengths of teams in one conference to others. You may be interested to know that over the last four seasons, Kirby is 7-0 against top 10 Non-Conference opponents - best in the nation over that time - while Dabo is 1-4. Also Georgia has been ranked #1 in the CFP poll more times than the entire ACC combined.
