No way the "powers that be" was gonna have a non-SEC winner ... with the SEC having 14 entries in the tournament.
SEC will win baseball. SEC will win football.
Too much $$$ involved now for the brand not to succeed.

The field in what? It's the first time they have won in basketball since 2012. In football they do have the best conference generally. Of course they didn't win it all the last couple of years though.

they are getting serious now ...
Give you a heads up ... SEC baseball will host a majority of regionals and super-regionals.

There are other serious programs. Only a handful of those SEC teams will truly be serious contenders even if they get a bunch of teams in. In the 2025 basketball recruiting class rankings the SEC has 2 in the top 10.

As the coots have been preaching for years, it doesn't matter which eSECpn team wins.

Well, they only have 2 teams in the top 10 in recruiting. There's a lot of competition.

TV contracts updates the SEC has experienced an uptick in all sports.
Currently in football they have 7 teams in the top 10 in recruiting and in baseball there are 7 teams in the top 10 from the SEC in the baseball america rankings. His question is valid. Are we ready to see the same trend in basketball. Because i can't imagine its not about to do the same thing.
The ESPN thing is hard to beat. They pump the money, then pump up the marketing, and in turn see the return on their investment.

Definitely, but in basketball it's a non issue generally. They aren't taking over recruiting. As far as football they have been doing great for years. Looking at 2025 and it's the same old teams. Baseball I don't really follow it.

SEC teams. That has never happened (that I recall) to the extent it did this year. Recruiting will follow probably next year. It usually skips cycle.

You must have missed the B1G winning the last two football Natty's. They seem to be the one's in the midst of a run. They have as big a contract as the SEC on three of the 4 major networks (FOX,CBS,NBC) in this country.

Money wins championships, we know this. Pro Baseball shows it. However as much as I hate it, which teams have won the last two national championships in football? We know they bought their teams too. SEC does dominate in baseball and maybe always will. Houston was this close 🤏 to winning.

I would say Clemson being in the ACC might even be easier. You can stay healthy, play more players,.and have an easier path to the playoff, although there are more teams now.

I’m just saying if it is easier then it has to be proven to actually occur more frequently.

The powers that be, as you mistakenly say, were spot on with the seeding. I expect you are just a pup, but how many times have all four #1 seeds made the Final Four? Isn't it funny how the best teams have a way of winning?

In basketball it seems to me you don’t always get the best team winning it. Tournament play is much different than playing a game and time to rest before next game
