Probably not at all. He’s exactly where he wanted to be. He followed his friends to Clemson and BV leaving gave him the reason he needed to leave. Would have been in the portal in a year or two anyway.

I believe the OP was pointing out the irony in the situation...leaving Clemson (at least partly) because BV left, landing at Michigan, only to have that DC also leave? A little bit ironic. But I wouldn't have used "stupid" in the description.

He’s also going to lose his head coach real soon, Harbaugh to Las Vegas raiders, Bill O’Brien next head coach at Michigan, completely new staff, Keon has no idea who his DC or position coach will be.

Could be some decommits or portal entries. Another round robin of coaching changes could open some nice entries. We may as well use it and get used to kids leaving and coming in... Just like the NFL.
We tend to get used to the kids we have by and large being wise and mature beyond their years. Some of the kids we don't recruit just know they're bmoc in HS and been told from fam and friends and esecpn how great they are and have zero concept of what it really takes. Hence 5* can't miss kids become busts and 2, 3 star kids make it to the NFL.

fans. In the current environment, that Ole Spud and many others are having to adapt to, they are fair game. I didn't use to feel that way...but, I am coming around. There just aren't enough Shipley's,CJ's,Mukubas,Skalski's,etc. to go around.

My take is Dabo explains to the kids if they are not ready to commit, then do not commit. Dabo explains these Clemson scholarships are valuable & limited. But once you commit, Clemson saves your position and moves on to other needed position groups just like the NFL draft.
Yes, Clemson lost BV to a great opportunity, and if we "Tigernet" (Monday morning QB) the situation, Dabo could have taken Wes with BV and him on some recruiting trips. But if Dabo explained his Clemson scholarship policy, and the IMG Academy players left Clemson at the altar after months of commitment, then Spud and Clemgal are keeping it classy. Don't let the door hit your a$$ on the way out fellas. I can ensure you that Spud and Clemgal are far from sad, but their lives are only enhanced by loving Clemson and Clemson sports along with many other facets of their lives. Hyperbole.

Far from fragile, Sabb is a young businessman making a business decision. Sabb wanted to attend Clemson but when he saw the annual pageantry and excitement of MICH beating OHIO ST for the 1st time in 9 years, he changed his mind. If he knuckles down and takes advantage of a quality MICH major and degree along with the football, he will be fine. Or he could move from school to school in a hapless and fickle manner burning all bridges without an NFL career or university support.
