How do all you completely retired folks keep up with

the day of the week and actual dates? I haven't worked since last Thursday and already am confused about both. If it weren't for TNet posts having the date , I would be lost.... and the fact that April started on a Monday and and today's posts showing it is the 4th, it must be Thursday. (I will need to get better at math after a few more days).

I'm married!
Still do part-full-time remote work (some weeks busier than others), which I'll continue indefinitely. Especially since I'm not bound by a clock, nor need to commute (an absolute non-starter!).

I still commute to 4 different school districts and a couple of charter schools and don't mind getting out on the road at all. Going to cut out one district next school year but will be busy enough in the others.

I've been retired since 2010 and it took me awhile to get it in my head that I no longer had a job.I learned to live with it by working on my honey do list.i do still dream about the job.

Yes - there are lots of ways to check, but early in the morning and you haven't made sure of the day or date, it isn't easy to keep track.

I thought every day was Saturday except usually they skip 6 days between football games in the fall! Not as many for basketball and baseball.

Keeping up with Clemson's spring sports and the end of basketball season can keep you mentally in shape.

that gives me the time, day of the week, date, and temperature, all right in front of me when I look at my tv, which is also my 65" computer monitor. It (The CLOCK, not the tv) was only $35.99 off the Amazon. Do a search on there for "Digital Wall Clock Large Display" if you want one.

LOL, I just noticed that the date on the clock in their Amazon ad is 12/25. A not so subtle nudge to the subconscious, saying "Hey, this could be a great Christmas gift!" Crafty merchants will do anything they can to separate you from your money.

Now that I'm retired every other day is a Thursday, and I wonder where the week went. What, is it Thursday already?
I'm not sure what I do all day, but it takes me all day to do it.

My brother the fire chief retired a couple of years ago and does work part time at a golf course. It was easier to talk with him when he worked, now I get “ hey I’m on the course”.

Not a 100% solution but try to do certain thing on the same day each week such as golf on certain days, fishing/hunting on certain days, cut grass/yard work on certain days, etc. Basically do things on a schedule.
If one of those days change for whatever reason and with senior memory issues, it can cause bedlam, LOL!

Eventually you find events you use for reference. We did that the day before we went to the foot doctor, the day after the eye doctor or on our way home from the heart doctor. You'll start to sense a theme.

In no time you will be free of the false grip as$ holes have kept you under the whip with and not give a dang as to day/week/month/year or even hour. At that point you are actually retired.
