our season was one of the most bewildering things I’ve ever seen as a 60 year Clemson fan? I understand losing the LSU game as they have a great defense and offensively Cade had a bad game and our offensive game plan was poor. Chad Morris would have done better. GT and their fans were so ready with their white out and using Cade’s words on their video board in a wrong way to affect him and charge up their fans. Cade indeed got affected with poor play. We had the better team but got out coached and outplayed on that day. However Syracuse is terrible and we were at home.

I agree. Really no reason to lose at Death Valley against a mediocre at best Orange squad. I don't care who their QB was. We have much more talent across the board. To me, it seems like Dabo and the entire coaching staff simply did not prime this team to blast off at the opening kickoff against LSU, and the drag just continued for a month. Let's see if the last two weeks have jump started this team, or if the wins are just fool's gold.

To be fair, the Cuse's starting QB was leading the nation in passing at the time he got injured so they weren't too bad at the time. They've gone belly up with the backup...as would the Tigers if Klubnick goes down...

Didn’t the Syracuse QB get hurt about midway of the Clemson game. We should have been able to take advantage of that situation.

He was hurt late 3rd quarter. Didn't matter though because the D made his back up look like an all American. The game was a complete failure in all phases.

I agree, it was a team effort to lose. O-Line was bad, Cade was bad, playcalling was bad, Defense was bad. And our WRs still run terrible routes.

though the way we looked I dont know that we were ever folded. We screwed around at GT. Seemed to continue the same for good old Cuse

He was asked earlier what he thought about the GT stadium. He gave an honest answer and said it reminded him of a high school stadium in Texas that he had played in. They took this and put on their video board during the game and continued to play it over and over with sound.

So if you are a 60 year fan you have seen many losses like I have in my 65 years of going to games, but just recently, how did we lose to Pitt in 2016 when we won the Championship or Syracuse in 2017 or Notre Dame in 2020 the first time we played them? Losses happen and there are a thousand reasons why but usually, the opponent just played better.

We lost to Pitt because a usuck grad was the ref calling a zillion PI's on us.
Even the tv announcers said several were obvious bad calls.

No. This is just ridiculous to blame the referees. We lost that Pittsburgh game because we couldn't stop the shovel pass, Watson threw a God-awful interception at the goal line, and we couldn't pick up one yard to end the game.

I think you are both right.
The team made some bad plays that really hurt, but there were three bad calls against the defense on 3rd downs helped Pitt a lot.

Gain one yard and nothing the referees do matters. Don't throw that ridiculous interception and nothing the referees do matters.

The Pitt game in 2016. I was there. We played hard unlike the GT and Cuse game. If I remember correctly a #### ref kept calling defense pass interference until he got Pittbin position to kick a field goal. We lost in the last second and were not blown out the whole game and actually looked hapless against one of worst defensive teams in the conference. Lots of difference.

simple we got outcoached again. Fran Brown prepared his team and exposed Dabo again. Why is Dabo always late to react and prepare his teams? Why cant he figure it out before the losses mount? This has become the norm under Dabo in recent years. LSU is not a very good team yet we layed an egg at home again to start season.
