My team has a big game Friday. I'll be fine. Just funny how conferences don't matter, until they do. All these folks posting about the SEC's bowl record, would love to have Clemson join the conference.

But the thing is, most Clemson fans don’t care about conference affiliation. Clemson stands on its own merits and doesn’t have to use other teams as a crutch. Still pulling for Michigan to push the dawgs sh”” in though!

I was there for a business trip and met a fella who was shocked that I didn't think California was the greatest place on the planet. If I had told him the truth - that most of America would happily see Cali fall into the Pacific - He couldn't have heard it.
It's just unfathomable to him that we don't think Cali is the best.
I feel the same way about the SEC. But y'all just can't hear it.

That’s the point of the posts: How certain fans and media hitch their wagons to the illusion of the mighty SEC.
The SEC reputation is a myth, built on Alabama and perhaps one other team (that rotates every few years)

But Auburn is in the SEC. They are only 6-6 because they are in the West. Everyone knows that means they win 10 in any other conference. SEC does not lose to OOC opponents. It just means more to the SEC.
