Starting WRs for Auburn?
Aug 20, 2012, 2:55 PM

I think the three should be:
Nuk Hopkins Jaron Brown Charone Peake
The Morris offense utilizes playmakers, I think Humphries is a solid player but not a playmaker. Peake on the other hand has a chance to do some damage.

Hopkins, Brown, and Bryant. Bryant has the speed advantage over Peake while still bringing the size to the position. Not to say Peake wont contribute in a big way but I don't think he starts.

Bryant does not play Watkin's position.

This.
Our offense isn't just 3 WR's. Each player plays a position.
Charone backs up Jaron (although he has been working at Sammy's spot some). Martavis backs up Nuke...so he won't start.
Humpheries will be the guy replacing Sammy because he plays the same 2-receiver position. Everything else stays the same.

have heard great reviews of Peake, and not much of Humphries. And peake has been cross training positions and has been playing the 2 position (Sammy's position) a lot

Because with Sammy out

there's no #2 at that position. I think Humphries is probably still the starter there.

save a year of eligibility because he won't get many reps behind this group.

What does it matter who starts? They're all gonig to play. Bryant and Peake will get plenty of playing time as will Humphries. Nuke and Brown are the obvious top 2.
