Dude, you absolutely don't know what your talking about. I know President Barker and he cares about the whole University. Also, show a little restraint, the man recently had 5 by-pass heart surgery. Good grief, grow up

He is personally responsible for wasting $4 million dollars to keep Bowden, the implementation of the Seat Equity Plan and the development of the Bridge Program.
Aren't those enough reasons? You can credit TDP also with some of that, but he is out.

No problem with seat equity plan or the bridge program. For one the seat equity plan is common practice among every top football program. You have to do it. The bridge program is bringing in kids who want to be a part of this university. Kids who were probably accepted to other major universities but decided they would keep their dream alive of attending Clemson University.
Barker hasn't been the greatest president, but the Seat Equity Plan and Bridge Program were two great ideas. He was forever loyal to TDP and that is going to come back and bite us in the rear. TDP is the reason most of our programs are in shambles today.

I'm not big on Barker but loyal to TDP? He was set to oust him about a year or two before he retired but TDP lawyered up and Barker backed off. So I wouldnt term that as loyal.
I do think his US News obsession and willingness to fudge data to do it was a little suspect.

that TDP was nothing more than a fund raising puppet for Barker. The same with the new AD. Ragwhateverhislastnameis is the same as TDP, an AD that hasn't accomplished much other than being a good fundraiser. And no the seat equity plan wasn't a success. It pushed longtime Clemson fans out of seats they had had for 10-20 years, and gave those to either casual rich fans who will sell their ticket to an opposing fan for a profit or a corporation that will sell their ticket to an opposing fan for a profit.

The seat equity plan was a success. Season tickets are up and the Valley fills up every Saturday. Every top program does it. I am sorry your ##### ### can't handle the fact of life that everything costs more these days and we didn't want to get left behind.
SEP was absolutely a success. Stop crying about getting pushed out. Pay the money and stay or don't and get pushed back to a different section.

Thanks to the bridge program, my son, as well as thousands of other mostly SC students, are given a great opportunity to automatically be accepted to the school they really want to attend.

athletics program has went down. Other than football, women's track, and golf we have gone down big time in a lot of sports. Prez Barker would be more than happy if we didn't have any athletic teams at all. Only thing Prez Barker cares about is manipulating the rankings of a discredited college ranking publication.

Bridge sends many "deserving to get in Clemson" students to Tri County TEC so that the middle easterner s with high SATs and kids from New Jersey with high SATs can go to Clemson and many times pay SC instate tuition.
If you go to a TEC school your first year and make a 2.5 you can transfer in and you can be a marginal student your 3 or 4 years at Clemson. The first year at Clemson is the one that counts for Barkers almighty Top 20 quest.
The Bridge Program is a joke.
