I believe all of the portal companies are platforms, private platforms that most all are welcome to participate in, within the rules and guidelines that they lay out. I understand that there are 100's of others similar in style but smaller in participation and size. Remember AOL? Competition is a beautiful thing. It's served US pretty well so far.
By forced to participate, I'll use the situation at hand.
A foreign national, Rupert Murdoch, Australian, owns a global media conglomerate that has a strong following and audience here in these good old United States of America. He has gained the most loyal, predictable, and consistent following to his most influential American entity - FOX News, and brings it daily in New York City with the NY Post.
These are the only entities initiating and introducing new to the public, America, this recent Hunter Biden story and pieces.
Is this someone you want to grant personal force over an American company to share what his outlets are publishing, one of them legally allowed to BS on air? The First does not guarantee anyone an audience.
Let freedom ring.
