In a row. So are you MAGA folks who were outraged at the mere implication that some team didn’t want to visit the White House when Trump was in office also outraged at the disrespect the bulldogs are showing the office of the POTUS?

This is the first time it has ever posted an intelligent comment; clearly its normal poster is not in control of it.

If you win a championship and get an invite to the white house you take it
Most people don't get an opportunity like that. You gotta toss politics aside and shake hands with the sitting president. Probably a lot of other cool perks that we don't see or hear about.

I would want to go to the White House. Don’t care who is president or what party is in charge of congress.
If the bulldogs are not visiting DC because of who the president is, then that’s shameful. Just like the championship teams that did not visit the White House because Trump was president.

They must be saying 'outraged' a lot on MSNBC now. It's the latest leftist buzzword.

It’s funny seeing all these liberals that are outraged because Georgia isn’t going to the White House…they didn’t have a problem with teams skipping out when Trump was president

the chance of one of his players doing something stupid on this visit and making national headlines was too far great a risk.
How did I do T3?

Half the team couldn't pass the background checks due to prior convictions, so they had to decline.

I take Kirby Smart at his word on this.
Bad timing (and it seems kind of last minute) and in the past they did this in January.
While I agree that it is a nice opportunity for the athletes, but the timing is clearly bad (it is a multi-sport thing, so it isn't just about a football team).
People making it political either way need to find hobbies.
Mountain, meet mole hill.
https://apnews.com/article/georgia-white-house-invite-biden-smart-bddc2fe3f66c1ff8bba0adf684665aeaGeorgia's Smart says declining invitation for White House visit was not political Georgia coach Kirby Smart insists there was no political motivation behind the decision for his national championship football team to decline an invitation to visit the White House in June. Instead, Smart says scheduling issues, including a youth camp in June at the Georgia football facility, made it impossible for the Bulldogs to accept the invitation to attend a June 12 event with other college teams at the White House. The event is described by President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden as “College Athlete Day.” Smart told the Athens Banner-Herald “Timeline-wise it didn’t work.”
