Last time we were there we had to sit through a mandatory lesson in White Guilt before touring.
Anyhow, cool place, BUT don't miss the UVA campus AND Poplar Forest for a super-deep Jefferson dive. I like Poplar Forest better than Monticello.

Went about 30 years ago. A beautiful, amazing place. TJ is one of my heroes, even if he did some things that we now know were wrong, but were widely accepted then.
