Chad Morris has been exposed. Yes, we blow out inferior teams, but his play calling has cost us A LOT of big games against quality opponents.
The players got robbed tonight. They played their hearts out and coaching led them to defeat. Sad.

Regardless of the game, we had it wrapped up until Davidson fumbled.
Period. He doesn't fumble we win the game.

If we aren't in shotgun formation

we probably don't lose 20 yards on a bad snap from the half foot line and don't even have to kick it and we are up 24-10.
Its just not a "nut up physical" style. And sometimes football is as basic as being better than the man in front of you.

When he should have had DJ in there he didn't my friend and that is coaching plain and simple.

Only if we had scored a TD and didn't have to rely on our short yardage game to punch it in.
If we were stopped and forced to kick a FG I highly doubt we would have made it.

Totally agree........... But some things work well and we never return to them. 1 play last night we ran a little counter like zone read for 6 to 7 yards with the QB sliding down, why not return to that weakness (their defensive speed causing over pursuit) and exploit it.

We've reached Morris' ceiling
Sep 21, 2014, 12:06 AM

He was perfect at the time, but we've topped out with him.
Settle in on a RB so that we know what horse to ride and perhaps you get in a groove and don't have that fumble.
Have options other than a shotgun and freaking nut up sometimes.
Its not necissarily his playcalling, but his general philosophy of football.

As soon as they solidify the running game as in who will always be the starter we won't have this issue. Pick one and go with it.. we went threw 4 running backs last night.. Choice was the best of those 4. let the man start.

Yep Morris missed 2 fgs, threw it in the dirt, snapped it over the qbs head, then fumbled. He made some bad calls but he didn't lose it the players did.

Has he never heard of an I-formation? Or a qb sneak? I'll even take that wacky wildcat over that 4th down call. You need a fricking yd. And down at the half yd the other time. Shotgun ain't always the answer, Einstein.

What ever happened to the quick screen game? Do we not have the wr's to execute? I do believe Morris has been figured out a little,we finally get a defense to win us games but the offense lack of execution/playcalling has caused us again
