Yes I am concerned about his recruiting. I’m concerned about all of it. Outside of 2024 the guy has flat sucked.

Maybe go check out how much Indianas defense improved from 2015 season to 2016 season during his first year as defensive coordinator. Indiana’s defense improved significantly, allowing 372.6 total yards per game compared to 509.5 yards per game in 2015. Points allowed per game decreased from 37.6 to 27.3.

That is an amazing 1 year improvement. Kinda hard to believe how anyone could be upset with this hire. Why are you upset with it? This guy has 3 decades of experience. That’s what we wanted, a proven d coordinator with head coaching experience.

Do you also want to discuss how it fell off a cliff from 2017 to 2018? Or how about 2020 to 2021? Or becoming #### near rock bottom in 2022? And not much better 2023?

Not to be negative, but they also had a really good defense in 2023 when Manny Diaz was still the DC. Here are the 2023 stats for comparison:

13.5 points allowed per game
247.6 total yards allowed per game
75.5 rushing yards allowed per game
3.8 sacks per game

So they were actually worse in all 4 categories in 2024 compared to the year before.
