Clemson will load the bases and then Cam will hit a game-tying grand slam. DKS will go crazy. It will be an otherworldly moment. But then WVA will score again in the top of the 10th, and the Tigers will fail to answer in the bottom half. That's just how these games have tended to go in recent years for Clemson, unfortunately.

For a second I thought my bad sarcasm was actually gonna come true. We've seen this same theme so many times now. But on a more serious note, that bottom of the 9th alone was actually pretty cool to see. All you can really ask for in a situation like that is a shot, and incredibly, the Tigers actually got one there with Priest and Crighton. A big fly would've tied or won it. Heck, Crighton could've tied it with a double, although that would've been tough because the outfielders were playing deep knowing the situation. Hate to see JC strike out there, but you can't really be mad at that inning. Unfortunately, I think what's really gonna hurt looking back at (besides the obvious implosion from Lucas) is Priest hitting into the bases loaded double play to end the 7th. It just seemed like the Tigers had all the momentum there and were poised to get more runs, but they only came away with the 1. You get 2 or 3 more there, that totally changes the situation, even if WV still got the runs they did later.
