First, I think it's a shame that Duke isn't ranked at 9-3. However, it's even worse that the chair said Miami's body of work is over, then points to "top 25 wins" as a reason to have Alabama above them.
But, if Army and UNLV both lose, then Duke and even UofL could jump into the rankings. That would booster Miami and SMU... if they are looking at top 25 wins.
You can't help but think it is rigged.

It appears to be all about the "weak" ACC. Gotta win some bowl games but that won't change much in the near future as next year's opening day top 25 will be chock-full of SEC and Big 10 teams. Much easier to ind up in the top 25 when you start off there...

The SEC and ESPN have colluded for 2 decades to build strength at the ACC’s expense and the ACC has been compliant in the process. In 2024 we had SEC crews working road and home games in the intraconference matchups. It is amazing the degree to which the ACC has rolled over and played dead for these goons.

You know they want to just say that SEC losses are "quality losses" but must feel like there would probably be some blowback from revealing their bias openly like that. It's obvious that Bama's loss to Oklahoma is not as bad as the losses Miami should have had against Cal and Virginia Tech. Perfectly justified.

Of course it’s rigged. They’re going to shove however many 3 loss SEC teams as possible to get 4 in the playoffs.

What I am saying is the committee is in a position to justify actions they create. If they don’t want a team to have as many top 25 wins, then don’t rank them.
I also think it’s poor to gloss over Bama’s losses to Vandy and OU.
My biggest gripe is actually with Indiana. Why wouldn’t Alabama knock Indiana out instead of a team that plays an extra game? (SMU)

No wonder Duke isn't ranked. Played only two ranked teams and lost to both of them. No brainer.

We know you SEC toads all stick together, without opposing the conference agenda of any corruption to gain control. No teams are over the top elite and SMU should remain above Bama, etc even with a loss to Clemson. Miami has the top offense in the country and didn’t lose to .500 teams.
Save it.

Do you think the Big10 is better than the SEC? Because the system you boneheads co-created is going to favor them There are 3 SEC teams ahead of Indiana in the ELO rankings. Indiana is the really travesty, not SMU, but you guys don’t want to call out your business partners.

Miami was a top 10 ranked team.... So Syracuse had the best win in the ACC up until Clemson beat SMU
Why are they not ranked as well.
