He birdied the first three holes and is now only one shot behind the lead.

Jacob 😪
Hopefully he can pull it together and at least finish top 10. At this point, a top 5 would be outstanding... and would really help him with points.

get a hot start today . . . but he didn’t . . . Kudos to him for hanging tough and making the best of it!
It was a good weekend for TIGER Golf:
Jacob Bridgeman . . . 3rd Place . . . Earned $600,300.00
Lucas Glover . . . 4way T-8th Place . . . Earned $245,775.00
For MyfavOrange® , Sepp Straka . . . 8way T-28th Place . . . Earned $55,843.00
On to next week’s Texas Children's Houston Open where we’ll have 3 TIGERS in the Field: Jacob Bridgeman Ben Martin Carson Young
For those interested, the coot (Wesley Bryan) is the 5th Alternate hoping to gain entry.
Have a Great Week TIGERS!!!

He could sit the year and keep his card. Should be top 25 FedEx. Schema will have to tell us if that gets him into more events.

As of right now, Jacob would qualify for the next Signature event, which is the RBC Heritage via the "Aon Next 10". However, that isn't finalized until after The Masters, so it isn't a guarantee yet. If the "Aon Next 10" doesn't work out, he could also get into the RBC Heritage via the "Aon Swing 5", but that one isn't finalized until after the Valero Texas Open. So, still a few weeks before we know for sure.

He is also in really good shape for earning a spot in the PGA Championship. The Top 70 from the "PGA Championship Points" list on May 4 earn a spot. They haven't updated it to include the Valspar Championship yet, but he was 60 following The Players, so he should climb even higher after today. He just needs to keep it going.

Thanks schema for the response. How awesome to have him there. Love all our Tigers. Lucas still has it but as we all know, he said he wants to slow down. I wish some others like Ben and Carson could get going. JB is getting up there too. He's going to crush it on the seniors.
But I know I go overboard with Jacob, but I see him as having the best chance to become Clemson's most famous golfer.. would love to see him one day get the gushing coverage like Thomas did today. A mainstay in the final group.

Also, Jacob has moved from 205 on the OWGR list heading into the México Open to 70 after the Valspar Championship. It may not be mathematically possible, but if he could get another second or third place finish at the Houston Open, maybe that could move him into the Top 50. The Top 50 on March 31 earn a spot into the Masters. Of course, winning the Houston Open would also do the trick.
Anyway, while getting into The Masters may be a long shot, if he can keep climbing the OWGR, he may get into more majors later in the season.

Clemson had a top 3 and a top 8. Glover is doing really well for 45.

He was very gracious to me from the practice green at the Heritage when I asked him to sign my Clemson hat.

Never got that impression at all . . . as a matter of fact he thanked my sis and me for following him during his Tuesday Practice Round at the Masters (Purnell announced he was leaving Clemson during that round.)
Sorry you got that impression of a most valued TIGER!

Lucas is a little more introverted and I don't think he has ever been real comfortable in the limelight, so I think that comes off to many who don't really know him as unfriendly. He is really a good guy!
