So what do y'all think the chances of Klubnik being our first ever Heisman? I think that if he can replicate last season and improve just 5 to 10 percent, then i believe it is a very strong possibility!! Your thoughts?

I think its a possibility but the Heisman voters love to hate on Clemson. DW4 got snubbed. Kinda of hard for me to imagine Cade has a better year than Deshaun regardless of what happens

I don't know DW4's best season stats, but I truly believe with what have around Klubnik and the O-line, it very well can happen. I know the the network likes to hate on us, but with the momentum and the love we are getting. It can be done!

we will have to have a very good run game for this to happen. A good run game will open things up so much more for Klubnik. He also has to eliminate the boneheaded decisions that he is still prone to make like the last int against the #####.

Your last comment… That’s more on Riley/ Dabo! Had no business calling that play! Throw it into the end zone to where only a receiver can either catch it or it’s out of the back or side of the end zone. If it’s out of the end zone and incompleteclock is stopped and come kick a field goal.

I don't think a Clemson player will ever win the Heisman. We have had several in the past that deserved it but it went to a player on the dark side as it will almost every time. I have contacted the Heisman Committee in the past and suggested they resign their position because they were no longer qualified and were biased. This was after the DeShaun situation. Can't believe I didn't get a response.

Deshaun did throw like 18 INTs that year
I think he still deserved it, but I can understand it from that perspective

If Cade put a repeat performance like last year but performed better in the big games (and wins those games) he's got a good shot.
LSU can absolutely launch his Heisman campaign but he'll need some more big games in the spotlight to stay in the running. Lucky for him our schedule has some games that could be massive in the spotlight for one reason or another.
Here's some notables right now: - LSU (obviously) - Ga Tech (has potential with showdown against Haynes King) - Cuse (potential scrappy contender on the rise?) - UNC (Belichick vs Dabo) - SMU (ACCCG Rematch) - FSU (rivalry game and if they rebound could be huge) - Louisville (grudge match at Papa John's) - Scar (Rivalry Game + Showdown with Sellers or Air Noland)
So lotta potential this season where Cade could be in the spotlight and boost his Heisman chances.

I wouldn't say that we will never have a chance, but i agree with the schedule and if Cade can win and win big and show what he did against Texas, then of course he will have a great shot. I have faith and truly think this year is going to be one for the record books. Lets Go and Spot The Freaking Ball.

If Cade goes undefeated 12-0 during regular season that will probably win him the Heisman trophy 🏆... Go Tigers!!

If the offense is as good as everyone is predicting, a lot of scoring and CK2 gets pulled from games, stats won't be as high as needed to win.

That is a good point, but with seeing how Dabo is operating and him knowing we will shut the critics up, I once again believe that Dabo is gonna keep people in longer but also Cade my have the stats needed by half. If that is happening then watch out. "SPECIAL SEASON"

Well I am just going to say this and will be many naysayers, but Klubnik is winning Clemson's first ever Heisman. We are going to dominate this year and lets welcome the best half of a decade Clemson has had. "Best IS Yet To Come"

throw 6 TD passes every game. ITs usually a conservative balanced attack for the most part. There were moments where DW or TL could have thrown an extra TD pass or 3 on some of our goalline packages and we woudl do the high percentage play. Teams like FSU or Oklahoma or Ohio State are always padding useless stats for their player so the heisman usually goes that route unfortunately b/c the voters are lazy.
So I like Cade to have a solid year with solid stats but i'm not seeing him having 4500 yds passing and 50 total TDs. WE don't run that type of offense.. of at least haven't since Dabo has had these great QBs. Which is fine.. it comes down to the cheap stats for the Heisman. ITs playing joe burrow for 3/4's of the game against Vanderbilt and Utah State and getting 6 TDs in each that gets you Heisman votes. Not saying he wasn't worthy of it but if he was at Clemson he wouldn't have accumulated all those stats.
DW or TL would have had similar stats at those "trying to win the Heisman" schools.

The problem is that too many voters vote way too early. When DW4 got snubbed most of his heroics came late in the season and in the natty. Many voters admitted they should have waited. Lamar Jackson put up unreal numbers early like 7 td's v/s Charlotte.

Heisman is a joke in my eyes. It is voted on well before the season is over. Look at L Jackson, he proved to be the better player after going to the pros, but when everything was going on in college he for sure was 2nd best.....maybe even third and it is a college award.

I think he will be on the stage. Who knows what happens? Probably won't, but if his year is good enough to be considered, the team will have had a great year.

If he goes out and has a " Heisman moment " against none other than LSU in the opener he'll be sitting in the catbird seat. Honestly, that's his only shot.
What would that look like ?
67%+ completion percentage for 300+ yards. 4 TD 0 int. 50+ yds.rush.

CKs performance against Texas last year with no running game was a thing of beauty. If we have that guy most of the year, we will be just fine. Biggest thing is the gelling, taking the next step, and minimal injuries on the OL. If that happens, watch out. The big nasties on both sides of the ball are the most important factor in our success.
