How much longer would you give Mac Brown? They are really under acheiving. Me one more year and if he is not in the top 10. I would let him go.

If Colt McCoy didn't get injured in the 1st quarter of the 2009 BCS NC they would have another title.

I do not disagree, but I would have to say ok you have earned one more year based on your past performance.
This is what a CEO guy who cannot really coach Xs and Os will do for you. You have to hit on the coordinators.

That program has underachieved for YEARS with all the talent and money they have. Mack is the new Bobby; doesnt know when to hang it up.

tu has done less with more than anyone in the country

tu has more money than anone in the country; their facilities are some of the best. they always have a top 10 recruiting class. Despite all that they are middle of the road (at best) on the field. The fans and admin does not like that. Not only are they going to finish the regular season 8-4 but they got crushed by their rival (again).
Now I don't know that Mac gets fired but it certainly wouldn't surprise me to hear he "retired".

Texas has more money than any school--can hire any coach they want. I am surprised Mack is still there.

Coordinators have already been turned over(Diaz and Harsin)

Mack is down to blaming the Longhorn Network for his teams performance. As noted by others, the program has alot of money, unrivaled facilities, and can just about pick who they want from the whole state. Since Colt left, the program has been in steady decline. He hung around to long and cost the program Will Muschamp. The question I have is who should they go after?

That would bother me. Patterson has built TCU football

and i would hope that he would have enough respect and attachment to the program to not ditch them for Texas. Same conference, same recruiting ground. That's the ultimate F*** You to your old school. I don't see Patterson as that kind of guy.

being the HC at Texas is a dream and you have pretty much unlimited resources, it would be rediculous it pass it up if you were given he opportunity to coach there.

Obviously Texas is a better job. I would never dispute that. I would just hope that Patterson would leave for another great school in some other part of the country where he wouldn't be crushing TCU.

I think that after Mack Brown "retires" they will go after Nick Saban and he will take the job. Think about it, he can say that he's won national championships at 3 different schools (ego), they'll offer him a TON of money (more money than ALA. can) and it'll be easy for him to recruit. It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit.
