3-4 in Bowl Games
His only wins are in the Holiday Bowl and something called the Fight Hunger Bowl.
Texas was also a favorite against Washington in last year’s Sugar Bowl - the only major bowl he’s ever coached.
For those that don’t remember, he walked away from the Southern California job in mid-season 2015 because he couldn’t handle the pressure.

He didn't walk away from the USC job

He's an alcoholic and was fired after multiple drunk incidents. By all accounts he's gotten the help he needs and has been sober for almost a decade. It's not relevant in any way to our game Saturday.

Actually, he walked away from USC job when Jack Daniels bottles fell out of his pockets daily. He had to go to rehab, then some time later Saban got his life back on track.

Yeah let’s make fun of the man for being in recovery!!

Also, as an assistant he won the CFP and the Broyles award in 2020 for Bama.

So he’s not a James Franklin tier choker.
