I have to type something here. So hope the PDF attache function works.

If not here's an article you won't see on Fox News. Looked all over for it. Saw it on like one or two local Fox stations. MSM conspiracy.... Except it is a court filing.

OK so PDF doesn't work on TNet so here's a link to the court filing.

What exactly does this do? These district judges are being used because congress knows it has no grounds to stop it because it’s all constitutional. The president has authority over the executive branch, Musk works for the president in the executive branch and is following his orders.

Ok, so who is the administrator in charge of DOGE? And what is his goal with the suit against Musk? What is Musk doing wrong?

Who knows? They haven't said. There's no transparency in what they're doing. We only see what they want us to see. They're also saying that the Freedom of Information Act doesn't apply to DOGE, so it'll be years after Trump has left office before we get to see what little paper trail they're leaving.

1. a tweet about what they found is not oversight

2. posting a couple of lines of a spreadsheet is not data.

The main issue is two-fold for me.

Do I believe there is waste and fraud rampant in government and I want it rooted out? Absofuckinglutely

But there is a process for that with oversight, especially when it comes to vital government functions, including, but not limited to, national security matters.

You good with Musk having everyone's social security number in the country?

"well how do we know he has those numbers"

EXACTLY.

We don't know anything about what he's doing outside of what he tweets. There's no congressional oversight, there's no judicial oversight. There's no oversight at all.

I work with grants all day every day. Guess how much oversight there is. A ton. Why? Because it's important and very easy to have fraud and waste. That's why they make auditors.

Musk isn't an auditor.

This is a frat boy given the keys to the entire campus

I understand your points and have some of those same questions myself. That being said this is the executive branch. Legislative. The president is the boss of the executive branch. So he has the right to fire and make cuts as he sees fit. At least that’s my understanding.
I understand that congress and senate vote on how much funding and to what agencies it goes too. If the agencies are misappropriating funds or committing fraud, then i believe the president has the right to fire and redirect funds. I may be wrong. Not an expert on constitutional law.

You're not wrong. But saying one can is a lot different than saying one should

There is an office of accountability, there are forensic auditors who work for the executive branch who have enormous experience rooting out fraud and waste.

Why use your biggest donor with 0 experience instead?

Yeah, I get that. I am glad the waste/fraud is being exposed. My worry with Musk is that he is part of the MIC and has a huge contract for his project called Stargate. Along with the other guys Trump had with him when he signed that AI executive order. My fear is we could be headed for some kind of Technocracy.
Larry Ellison has made some seriously questionable comments in the past relating to a technocracy.
I think Musk definitely needs to be on a leash regarding DOGE.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The point is WHAT IS MUSK DOING?

It ain't Doge, despite Trump saying he's in charge of Doge, and "his team", that he selected, is doing the DOGE work, but he's not in charge, not overseeing, not administrating, not hiring, not firing, not involved?

And yet he's posting updates, doing press conferences with updates, so.....yeah, that's the point. I mean DOGE has full access to the most sensitive information and data in our governemnt, so who is in charge? Trump says Musk. White House says not Musk, NOT FINE. This is kind of important to know.....

the whole point is to "flood the zone with ####", overwhelm the political classes with so much chaos that no one can see the big picture.

Musk obviously doesn't want any legal liability, doesn't want to put any skin in the game other than his own time, which means that he's motivated by some reason he isn't sharing.

He certainly isn't dedicating his time out of the goodness of his heart, so what he's doing is collecting receipts because he knows Trump is using the White House as a classic patronage system, much like King George used the Americas to reward his loyalists. Same kind of deal.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Probably trying to avoid accountability and legal liability given SCOTUS grant

of the presumption of immunity for a President and the inability to even investigate evidence of wrongdoing. They aren't exactly sure how to accomplish that given how new and judicially untested the ruling is.

We have opened our government up to some extremely serious foul play potential unlike anything we have seen before.

Let's hope that Trump and Musk have altruistic qualities because there is no oversight anymore.
