This clown doesn't respect Clemson or it players. Not even a mention of us,only a couple of clips with teams making plays against us.

we made him look foolish for backing us.
Like all sports personalities, Herbstreit just wants to be "right" ...
For 2-3 seasons straight, he wanted to be "right" about Clemson being on the verge of greatness, and we didn't produce.
We've been very good at making him "wrong" before.
Maybe we can do it again!

I dont care about who he picked last year, and besides that you tryin to tell me its legit for him to go with both USC recievers over Superfly Watkins. And he also picked FSU quite a few times last year, but he picked them to win it all this year.

I'm saying the TEAM can prove him wrong ...
Aug 22, 2012, 12:49 PM

... just like they have numerous times in the past.
He said we'd be great, and the team proved him wrong.
Now he says we won't be great and once again the team can prove him wrong.
It's just that simple.
And as for Sammy Watkins ... regardless of how well he does for us this year, missing two complete games will more than likely kill his chances to produce the stats that at the end of the year will be used to determine everything from All-American to Heisman winner. Once again, Herbstreit wants to be "right" when his picks are reviewed at years end. The stats of WRs who don't suit up in two complete games will suffer by comparison.

Like others have pointed out...Herbie has called Clemson to "win big" a few times and the team lost big.
I think on that game day show a few years back that Kirk had nothing but awesome things to say about Clemson.
I'm pretty sure he quietly roots for us now, but he may just not go out of his way to predict Clemson wins this year.

Got burned one too many times - should heard him bragging about us during the Game day a few years ago, and then before OB last year. Go TIGERS JUST WIN! Sometimes it is best to come in under the radar...show Herbie and The World!

You clearly haven't followed us for very long or don't pay attention at all if you're saying stuff like this.
Herbie has publicly stated that he wants his sons to go to a school like Clemson, you can't give much higher praise than that.

Herbstreet has been a huge Clemson fan since they brought Gameday to Clemson, but he doesn't work for Clemson. He can't be a cheerleader. But the man is about as far from a Clemson-hater as he can be and still be professional.

This isn't about him cheerleading,I could care less if he's not a Clemson fan. It's suppose to be about his expertise of the game. No mention of Sammy Cmon man,and we did over achieve last year, despite the Orange Bowl blowout.

Re: He does mention Sammy rather highly - go check out his list of Herbie awards that are on the web, it was posted several times on tigernet. He is listed in the section called "RIGHT TO EXCITE: MOST EXCITING PLAYERS" This because he is not only a wide reciever but a special teams player.
