I think the decision has already been made to let him go. I have no facts, just a gut feeling after watching his sideline interactions when the D isn't on the field. I also think Conn is gone as well.
If he is gone next week, there will be an interim, probably Eason.

I would love to see Chad back. He has charisma and makes instant decisions. He is a great recruiter as well. Riley has zero personality.

A lot hinges on this game against SMU.
Defensively, we forced 3 TOs against USCjr. We had guys in position to make plays and just didn't make enough crucial tackles on Sellers.
The run D being suspect is an issue but that seems like a depth problem vs a true scheme issue.

I have to disagree. Our defense plays well against the run in the 4-3-4 alignment. We are terrible against the run in the 4-2-5 alignment.

We will know in the off season. If no changes to the staff, then we can only expect the same next year. Players will have more experience and I think Dabo will be forced to use the portal. Plus maybe we will be more competitive with NIL, but I believe the roster is mismanaged, coaches cannot make adjustments during the half, and if a freshman can outperform a senior, we need to go with the best player. I am hopeful that Dabo makes some great offseason hires. Hopefully, we trend higher than the past 3-4 years

and continue to a certain degree. Other than Sellers running loose last week, making crazy plays, he neutralized them enough to win the game.
We all agree, right, that 17 points is not enough to beat Clemson ??
All those talking about yardage, yes we gained yardage but that does not win games. Points, you have to score points especially if you are moving the football. This not only dejects the defense when no points are scored, it dejects the offense because they have success that results in nothing on the scoreboard.
Honestly, I think both offense and defense coordinator should be performing at a much better rate than they are. Clemson has talent, not a ton of depth, but a lot of talent. Poor tackling, poor execution in the red zone, poor ST on punts and field goals.
Real big question : Does Dabo have the reigns pulled to tight on these guys or is the struggle based on their lack of ability to plan/strategize/adjust/adapt ??
Not a fan of firing people, but sometimes it is needed. Something needs to change, and this weekend plus a bowl/CFP performance will go along way.

Yes, as stated 17 should not ever beat Clemson...unless it is a rain/snow/wind storm that is unusual.
No reason to lose last weekend other than offense going vanilla and not running plays to help score the ball
