Is the pressure too much that he's resorted to flurries of profanity in front of families, students, and microphones? Does he have no self-control? Is this what the proud Clemson basketball program has descended to? Sad!

NO ONE who’s ever roamed the court at Littlejohn has ever cussed like Coach K; I heard it with my own ears sitting behind the Duke bench. He’s considered by many the greatest coach in college basketball history. Find something else to complain about, or maybe start following the card game bridge instead; it seems more your speed.

Judging by the fact that you have been a member for nearly 20 years, I can assume that you also grew up in a time where public decorum was expected and even more so in a professional setting. The language of people now is much more vulgar than it used to be and it just seems to come with the times. I agree with you 100%, but I'm not sure how many others will based on the comments so far.

and Brownell is far from unique if he lets one fly every now and then in the heat of battle. I've heard coaches cussing at Clemson basketball games since I was a kid 50 years ago.

He's bringing shame to the game; I long for the days of God fearing coaches like Coach K roaming the sidelines whispering sweet nothings in players ears or Frank Martin giving 'atta boys' in response to foolish turnover or an errant shot. There is no gd place in the game for a bunch of mf en profanity. Full Stop

I want Brownell to get mad. Throw some stuff, scream at some players/ refs, give me anything more than what he is giving and I will keep watching.
I’m a Bobby Knight fan and in those days it was always unconventional then, it would be even more off putting now. But show some more passion and these players will catch it and it will spread.
Brownell looked defeated out there today.

Quite often you are only showing your stupid ignorance. If coach Brownell upsets you that much no one has forced you to watch. Every TV that I have seen has an ON/OFF button. Find another way to torture yourself.

Who cares? A better question is whether Arkansas or any other Power 5 university with a men's head basketball coach opening has tried to hire Brownell. I believe the answer is "no." If that is the case, why does Clemson need a buyout clause in Brownell's contract? He isn't going anywhere voluntarily.
