New evidence supports the Marion Hypothesis

Undoubtedly many of you are familiar with the groundbreaking analysis of Francis Marion last week, which provided strong support to the hypothesis that Clemson is better than Georgia in the sport of Men's Varsity College Football (1).

Yesterday's results yielded further evidence in support of this hypothesis, to wit: Appalachian State defeated Georgia State, who defeated Vanderbilt, who deveated Alabama, who defeated Georgia.

I need not remind anyone of what Clemson did to Appalachian State.

This evidence is critical because it removes several steps in the original analysis, simplifying and adding clarity.

This is how science (hashtag Science) works - the gradual accumulation of data until a hypothesis becomes a theory and in turn accepted fact. It's exciting to see this happen right before our eyes.

Thank you for providing these recent on-field results.

Based on the scores FM provided, I did the maths and concluded that if we were to play Georgia, we should expect to win by 77.

I will now have to update my predicted margin-of-victory if we were to play Georgia in football.
