A banner year, with many programs on the men’s and women’s teams in the top 25 or better. As I don’t follow every D1 sport what would you say the sport that Clemson is currently struggling the most in, that’s not necessarily one of the major sports that could use some help.

Does volleyball have a new coach? Tennis is improving. I understand Men’s golf is getting a talent infusion next year, so hopefully the downturn stops.

Of course this one is considered a major sport…
But I would say it’s especially troubling that the men’s basketball team was a complete no-show for the post season, and then pretty much the whole team quit.
Not good! Not good at all.

Maybe if you plot the total number of wins per season, it would help you see a trend or maybe not.

Why just the total wins?
Why not regular season wins by itself and compare that to a chart of ACCT+NCAA/NIT wins?
Why not chart the ACC regular season titles?
Why not chart the ACCT wins vs losses?
Why not chart the ACC tournament titles?
Why not chart the ACC tournament title game appearances?
Why not chart the post season appearances?
Why not chart the NCAA/NIT wins vs losses?
If you do you will get a mixed bag, some good, some not so good. There is far more to judging a program than just 1 metric, total wins.

Volleyball, Rowing, Golf, Gymnastics.
2 of those have recently gotten new coaches. The other 2 may soon.

Clemson volleyball went 11-20 overall and 3-17 in the ACC last year. The coach was given one more chance to come back.
Men’s tennis had been struggling for years but they’ve had a good top 25 season this year and will break their ncaa tourney drought under 2nd year coach Brandon Wagner. So things are looking up there.
Women’s tennis will also likely make the tourney but they’ve faded a bit more down the stretch but still overall a positive direction.
Men’s golf seems to be lower in the rankings than we would like.

Excellent assessment. Rowing is hopefully making strides. Pretty good weekend in Tennessee against good competition. I think the VB situation and Coach Kerr was similar to mbb, new facilities to see if that makes a difference in recruiting and development.
