Gundy retirement

Wonder when - on this side of heaven - the use of gd will not be tolerated? Or f - think it is a word describing greatest gift God gave a husband and wife. Racial slurs are wrong, but why couldn’t an apology and asking all those players in the room for their forgiveness be sufficient? Loses job, public embarrassment and shame? One word. Our culture is running away from its Judeo-Christian values. Thank God here in Clemson we celebrate men and women who stand for those values.

The Cancel Culture has truly taken us a long way away from

the old adage "Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but WORDS will never hurt me." While I do not condone the usage of racial slurs, etc, it still is truly sad to me that society now DEMANDS that anyone who slips up in the slightest way suffers consequences FAR above and beyond what should be the case for use of a WORD. It truly has become a thin skinned, unforgiving world.

It's not just that - the "rules" are conditional and not

applied evenly.
He only read what he saw on a player's tablet. The players can say it. But a coach can't quote it. If it's wrong, it's wrong. That's part of the big problem. A rapper can say it dozens of times in a "song" but if a white person reads those lyrics aloud, then he's a racist and banned for life.

1/4 century of open season on the WASP; anything goes, no statute of limitations, from obvious fabrications to the physically impossible, all claims against a WASP are afforded capital crime "attention"'-

Are some of y'all privy to information that the rest of us aren't? What I read about the situation is that HE thought it would be in the best interest to resign, but was not fired. I can agree or disagree with his decision, wokeism or cancel culture, but why do so many have a problem with how HE chose to hold himself accountable?

Because his decision was most likely based on current societal pressure, rather than what he believed was a reasonable solution.
In other words, most likely he believed the pitchforks were coming, so he got out of dodge.

Something about this story doesn’t add up. You read something aloud written by someone else, then feel compelled to resign? Did we look at ladies lingerie in the Sears catalogue and then poke our eye out?
