Agree. He's had a long and outstanding career. If he retires, he can be proud of his nfl days. But I hope he gets to play a little longer.

Just the norm for the NFL, when a player starts getting age on them and have a bigger contract, the team tries trade or cut the player.

but they stayed loyal to him longer than a lot teams would have and paid him pretty well. Great career, 2x Pro-Bowler selection probably deserved to be a 4 or 5x selection though. Be a lot of interested teams-

I always knew that the Falcons were one of the worst franchises in the NFL. Just another example of poor management. His remaining year on his contract was 16 million. Falcons would rather pay less talented players less money.
