Looks like a Bucknut-Leg Humper battle with us right there as well. Sounds like Streeter has been into his head a little.

I truly don't think that Streeter was in their heads with negative things about Clemson. Streeter knows that his record of any place he has ever coached couldn't begin to compare with Garrett's short time with coaching at the college level has been more successful than what his own record would show for as long as he's been coaching at the college level,

Streeter knows that if he tried to get into their heads with negativity about Clemson, they would see right through his motives of wanting to put Clemson and Garrett in a bad spot with them. Streeter just needs to worry about Streeter, and making what he says to recruits and their parent about him and the successes he's had, and how he believes what he can do to help them with their goals. A spitting contest with him being dismissed at Clemson would work out negatively for him mostly....

Hard for me to give that guy any credit for being right about anything, but he might actually be partly right in this case. You can't really get in the heads of recruits as easily as that because most of them recognize the negative recruiting right away. It's also not likely that streeter is as childish as some of y'all are, and maybe even me.

As a school that gets negative recruited all the time, I am very familiar with this scenario. Baylor has historically been the worst, so naturally I hate that rapist school and with a passion and y'all probably don't even know what I'm talking about.

Recruits are generally smarter than given credit for, is my main point. Especially a QB like this. Plus, Clemson was already getting negatively recruited against by opponents and we all know that.

There's a hundred reasons for that. For QBs, when DW or TL were there, the negative was the recruit won't play. Recruits came anyway. Then, DJ can't play so the negative ones with you all actually helping out, because recruits really do read these sites. Duh. They're the internet generation and they're on here a lot.
Anyway, they were saying the OC can't coach and Dabo has let the program go and yada yada yada. I argued that and just got down votes, who cares? I care about your Tigers and Dabo and the players, not popularity with the wrong masses. So what.
Klubnik came anyway and so did Vizzina so obviously weeping and gnashing of teeth about it is not even necessary and what does the Bible say about worrying, eh?

Yes, I've been following recruiting for 50 years and know a little, i believe and I am arrogant about it. I think my evaluation skills are right up there with anyones'

Negative recruiting has always been a thing and always will be because there's scumbag coaches and always will be an issue. It's hardly ever really worked out well for the negative ones.
