Good morning everyone how was your weekend?

Friday, took off work a little early to head up to Knoxville for a wedding. Two of sharkgirl's friends have been together a long, long time and finally decided to get the government involved. Both just the kindest people you'd ever want to meet. Well GPS says it would take is 3 hours or so, ended up taking 4.5. We were trying to get to the rehearsal dinner and all of our cushion was eliminated by traffic. Ended up having to change in a rest stop bathroom. We get to the restaurant on time, only to find out that none of the important people were even there yet. A nice dinner was had with lots of catching up. Most of these people hadn't seen each other in 8 years, since the last wedding among this group of college buddies.
Saturday, distracted from football by wedding stuff.
Sunday, one last meal with folks then headed down the mountain.

a blast.
Fri - got wife out of the house for a night on the town since little one was away.
Sat - I watched a bunch of crappy coaches coach a crappy football team to a crappy loss.
Sun - Had a few beers. Bingo and lost, surprise surprise.
Overall, meh.

sounds like you guys had a good time and safe travels.
Wife was at Clemson with her college buds (I learned a long time ago to not go to those reunions), so me and my dog watched most of the first half until CDS decided to go for it on 4th down.
I have zero plans to watch this team again this year.

Friday: got home and did some chores, watched some HS football on TV, my school had homecoming and the crowd is massive and had no desire to be there.
Saturday: up early and headed to West Ashley for a scokker match. The other team is coached by one of my best friends so got to talk to him and his buddy a while before an after the game. Got home in time to watch Clemson......kind of wish I hadn't. Anyway, took the dogs out for a bit during the second half. This season is what it is. Also Nottingham Forest can eat our feces and federline our phaylus
I think I watched some football that night but can't recall. Had Chinese takeout for supper.
Sunday: up early again, was going to Cootlumbia for another scokker match, but my oldest daughter that lives at home had an issue with her car while heading out to friends. So I passed on the scokker and tinkered with her car. Got a computer code reader a while back and came in handy, so dropped her car off this morning at the shop.
Watched a decent F1 race, LeClerc and Norris had a good battle all race. Son came over to see the race and hung out a bit.
Good weather overall, even got a tinge crispy in West Trashley

Friday - long night at work. Got home about midnight.
Saturday - slept late and then went for a run. Dog ran with me which is always fun. Daughter had a cheerleading competition, then mother in law birthday party at my house. Went out with the boys and hung out with Jameson a bit too late. CEMSON SUCKS BAWWWLLLSSSS
Sunday - up early to get daughter to her football game to cheer, then back home to then get son to his football game. Good guys won. Naps on couch and then went to local pub for dinner. In bed by 920.
Monday - working for about 3 hours, then it's going to be Detroit Lions the rest of the day and night. Casino at 2pm, game is at 7. Should be a blasty blast.

Fri night - took fam out for sushi and watched a movie when we got home
Sat - Soccer practice in the morning, went to Clemson for the rest of the day
Sun - Church in the morning, had lots of McLovins at the house for birthday celebrations
During the game that kicker lined up for his first 48 yard field goal. The guy in front of me says "That's a long ways away" and I'm like "It's actually shorter than the last one he made" and he says to me "It just kinda looks longer than it feels" and McLovin said "TWSS"

Friday, Jason eady and Gabe Lee at The Evening Muse.
Saturday, classic car show fundraiser all morning, watched the game, tried to finish the book I'm reading Saturday night.
Sunday, hike with pup, lazy afternoon, then Redd Volkaert sitting in with The Loose Lugnuts at the Thirsty Beaver last night. Look Redd up if you don't know...the man is a legend and has a Grammy.

Mariners big win on Friday, 3:30 kickoff is best time for kickoff, got in a long bike ride Sunday.
Weaknesses include Clemson assball is atrocious, worked all weekend whenever I could squeeze it in, front wheel slid out on wet asphalt on bikeride and now I have roadrash on my shoulder and knee sticking to my clothes.
Performance Improvement Plan initiated. Friday Hawaiian shirt day and related activities are cancelled. Promotion unlikely and termination possible if weekends do not improve.

Worked late Friday. Came home and the missus had grilled up some turkey burgers and made waffle fries. I had a couple of Fuller's London Pride ales and proceeded to watch Ohtani with a performance for the ages. Stayed up way past me bedtime but worth it.
Saturday - work, brisk 5K run, work, watched about a total of 1/4 of the Clemson game (Vizzina looked better than I expected. Actually has better pocket presence than CK2, but we seldom have a pocket, so...). Made ribeyes, drank wine. Made sweet love.
Sunday - church, more seggsy time (cool weather makes APM randy), then made a Sunday roast chicken with carrots, taters, onion, and garlic. Lots of French bread. Early to bed.
Other than Clemson and LFC losing, all was well.

Friday did a lot of seasonal yard work and did in fact trip and fall Just a little boo boo on my knee
Saturday outside in the beautiful weather all day starting early at Lake Robinson Day in Greer then a gathering with friends in Clemson
Sunday usual with mom and enjoyed the cool damp fall weather on the back porch whilst avoiding more chores
Internet is out at work so I’m back on the deck in the cool crisp air enjoying a leisurely breakfast until I get word to come in.

Friday after work got the boat loaded up and ready for an early Saturday morning fishing trip.
Sat am left for boat ramp at 6am. Chilly start to the day, but beautiful on the water. Got into some decent reds and trout in the Wando until a porpoise decided he wanted to hang around for an hour and run all the fish off the spot that was productive.
Went home, got boat cleaned up and watched the Clemson JV team blow another game they should've won.
Youngest son had Homecoming dance so he got dressed up and had a good time.
Sunday was lazy. Cleaned the garage. Took a drive in the old Wrangler since the weather was nice. Smoked some wings and a pork butt for dinner.
Football aside, a very nice weekend.

Daughter went to Homecoming Football game, so I had to get her back and forth to that. Both had fun, youngest stayed with us.
Saturday middle son had rec soccer game across town, won 4-0. Daughter had Homecoming stuff with friends, wife went with her all day, me and the boys hosted the Clemson Club watch party. Good crowd, a little distracting since that nights band was soundchecking for a good hour during the game. Clemson sucks. Went home and made sammiches and fruit bowls for Sunday while wife and daughter were out.
Woke up EARLY, left for Dirty Myrtle for volleyball tourney in front of the Bowery, daughter and her partner were #1 seed overall in 16U, they made it to the finals unscathed but lost again. I think this is like 5 consecutive tourneys where she makes it to at least the final 4 and still has no championships. She is like the Buffalo Bills. She is frustrated, but she played well. A friend of hers won but they had recruited a player from Virginia Beach to play with her and that girl dominated. Terribly windy too. Drove home, unpacked, watch a minute or two of Jays/Mariners and went to bed.
Fantasy Football team has less than 50 points overall this week, worst week of football ever.

Meh all around.
Friday - So memorable I don't even remember what we did.
Sat - Cleaned and organized a few things. Got out my new Beats and went for a 3 mile walk. Amazing that listening to music made it seem like only 2.95 miles! The other upside was that I was exhausted enough not to pay so much attention to our football(?) game. Wifeof and I were planning to go see Sustro Stringband, but couldn't find the gumption to get out of the house.
Sunday - Church, rolled about 100 bucks worth of quarters (the excitement never ends). Made some pork stir fry and made a little egg foo young on the side.

The good: Reset personal clock to island time. Got to breath in that salt air. Caught enough fish to eat some. Got home safely...pulling a biggish boat 130 miles is stressful to me.
The not quite so good: King tides previous week along with too much fresh water coming down had fishing off. Did about get spooled couple of times. One was a big ray. The other was probably a bigger ray or a shark. after about 50 yds of non-stop run I tightened the drag till it broke the leader. Oh, well. Like Clemson football I learned many years ago there are no givens and don't put money on guaranteed results.
Still, I am an eternal optimist as are most dedicated fishermen. Just being out there is reward enough. overfall 9/10.
P.S. Been chatting with this much younger chick from LA that wants me to teach her the outdoors, camping, etc. This could get interesting. Will post pic when I figure out how to get them off Whatsapp. I called her bluff and told her to bring her youngass to East Coast for holidays cause not likely I'll be in LA anytime soon. We'll see.

Fri., Oct 10: Spent a week with my wife's family on the Gulf Coast. I can't remember better weather for a beach trip. Every day was sunny with a high in the mid-80s. It was ideal. The rental even carried the ACC network so I got to watch our game against BC. We ate some very good seafood. The best dish was the grilled snapper at Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar. Traveling Fri-Fri made traffic more bearable, which was nice with three kids who can't do four hours straight in a car. A+
Fri., Oct 17: Got back in town midafternoon. Slowly unpacked began the kids' vacation de-tox. Dropped nearly $800 at Costco. FML. Dinner was Chickfila for the wife/kids, BBQ baked potato for me.
Sat.: Cleaned gutters (NEVER put a river birch close to your house if you have gutters) and put up Halloween decorations. Went to a birthday party for some friends' one year old. Grocery shopped for stuff we couldn't get at Costco. FML. Listened to the Clemson game on the radio. I hate a bend-but-dont-break defense, especially when they end up doing a lot of breaking. Made burgers for dinner. Watched some of Alabama/Tennessee and fell asleep relatively early.
Sun.: Dedicated the baby at church. Family came over for donuts afterwards. The afternoon and evening was spent at our street's Halloween block party, which is one of the highlights of the entire year. All had a blast.
Up and at em today. Time to pay the piper for the time off.

Fri - unremarkable
Sat - went to buddy's for Clemson game and here's the rub. For all that we sucked, we get the miracle Tristan Smith score and we are RIGHT THERE in the 4th Q with the home crowd and momentum. Then our defense returns to the field and 6 1/2 soul crushing minutes later, game over. C'mon man
Sun - was the other MSynan's birthday, so we went to a nice tapas restaurant. Spent big $ but good
Did I mention the Jags got whooped, and I took a rare Junge fantasy loss? Thanks Tatted

support anyway, but nobody expected them to pass away this soon. Just a really sad time, if you are a fan, and I are one.

Been stuck here for a while. Every once in a while I can hit 220x2, but this is my sticking point.
Squats are stuck as well. Just gotta keep eating and resting.

Friday - Work travel to LA.
Saturday - Worked in the morning, watched Clemson, fell asleep watching west coast football
Sunday - Work cancelled. Bought a $65 ticket for the Chargers game (upper deck, 50 yard line). SoFi stadium is nice. Good sight-lines for cheap seats, the free shuttle from/to the LAX metro station was easy, so didn't have to pay more than my ticket price for parking. $20 for a beer tho. ###. Nice to see Daniel Jones confirming what Malik Nabers said last year ("It ain't the QB").

Went to dinner with some friends Friday.
Saturday, piddled around the house, got my hair cut, got some grass cut, watched some football (NOT Clemson), and tried to go to bed early around 10 PM. Laid awake in bed staring at the ceiling. Slept 1-2 hours total.
Got up at 4 am to work at 4:30 Sunday morning, worked until about 3pm, drank lots of red bull and coffee, then tried to stay awake the rest of the day so I could sleep last night.
Finally collapsed around 10 PM, woke up around 12-1 am, slept until phone started going off around 4:30am this morning when AWS East-US became unavailable. Luckily we weren't terribly affected by it, went back to bed around 8, got back up around 9:30, and here I am.
10-15 years ago, staying up for 2-3 days for work was easy, and that happened a lot. Now, getting 2 hours sleep in one night just completely wrecks me for days. Getting old sucks.
