Going 8-0 with a new OC and DC

Oct 24, 2022, 10:23 AM

This no small feet, the dedication it takes week in and week out is serious business.Clemson is getting every teams A game, weekly. Sure we’re not perfect, lots to work on. Yes DJU should still be QB1. When CDS pulled him, it was time, even DJU said, yes I should have pulled. Sorry we can’t have an explosive Offense like we had with DW4 or TL, lotta spoiled brats come nitpicking on here during the game, take breathe and let the game play out.
DJU will probably be better for that moment, also, great time for a bye week.
Our WR corp could help by catching more balls as well, lotta drops guys. Anyhow enjoy the day, great time too be a Tiger.

Changing coordinators is very common for the top teams. The top programs go through this just about every year. Clemson has been blessed with the lack of turnover. Great to be undefeated.

Ok, name them.

Really, only one program has been able to swap out coordinators. And that requires a Saban.

Even HoF coaches struggle replacing coordinators. Bowden was never the same after Richt left.

Hardly ever happens both at once.

Well I think we are 8-0 because you have the right guys... I think we havent played a complete game yet because you have new coordinators on both sides of the ball and they are learning just like new players do.
Can they hit their stride in the championship phase? Maybe.. the ND game will be telling.
ND isnt having a good year but they have talented players. You go up to South Bend and put together 4 quarters.. that could be a real launching point.
You get a bye week and go to a middling ND and lay an egg... that could be a big problem.
So we will see how it goes.

Lots of teams change coordinators...

but Clemson changed both AND promoted both from the ranks. Has that EVER been done with such success before?

Even DJ said so, who cares about DJ's approval of being pulled, he was stinking up DV, he should have been pulled after the fumble, he almost fumbled the ball long before he actually fumbled it!!!

In his interview he knew coach did the right thing by pulling him, that’s what was meant by that.
One thing I love about this team, when they have they’re backs against the wall, they fight, they have come back every time, does a lot for they’re confidence in themselves and they teammates. That goes a long way.

I agree 100%.

This is a great call out. You can't put a value point on having "guts"! Many teams only know how to "front-run". Clemson has shown this season; it can be behind and still keep playing until the end. Adversity is not going to make them quit.

Good to be a Tigers fan!
