have had to adapt to it in my profession...AND FELLAS, after today's game, after seeing the post where the poster showed the ESPN pitch box, and we threw 4 straight strikes that he called balls, and then on the next batter we threw 4 more strikes that were called balls and he also walked....WELL, I am ready to have a computer call balls and strikes. The only thing the ump will be back there for is to call catcher's interference, balks, safe or out at the plate, etc.
If I was a betting man, I would be the farm today that those umps were on the take. Not only did one of their players shove our player AFTER initial contact, but the first baseman also shoved our player, and yet, THEY TOSS CREIGHTON for "leaving his position on third base". Men, he was almost to home plate when our runner was called out and then shoved. He then ran to 1st base and did not make contact with anyone. Bam, ejected. Then the BS with Sully asking them to check Gordon's hat. That splotch had been on his hat the whole time he was in there. If he ever comes back to Clemson I hope he gets run out on a rail ...so to speak...And then the tossing of Backich and Leggett....What the heck was that about? Beats all a body has ever seen.

blaming umps and officials for losing is a what children do that have zero accountability.
Clemson had plenty of chances to win and they didn't.
Bottom line. Is Fox News telling you the umps are on the take? I'm sure you would believe them.

Two things can be true:
1) Umpires had too much impact in today’s game
2) Clemson did not capitalize
I know… mind blowing.

again... blaming the umps for losing the game is ridiculous.
If anything the Crighton ejection helped. The team responded and his sub also got an rbi basehit. Crighton had struggled at the plate. The sub also had no errors at first.
Stop the freaking crying over the umps. It had no impact on Clemson losing.

Please point out where I blamed the umpires for the loss. Stating the umpires had too much impact on the game by issuing 3 ejections for soft calls is a fact. Any momentum is killed when Umps take 20 minutes to deliberate a review.

deer lowered... if you don't think the Crighton ejection was a net positive for Clemson then you have no idea what you are talking about
The OP was the one that complained about the umps, which you supported

We can’t even have a conversation about a baseball game without getting political (FoxNews comment)? I don’t get people like you. Why is there such vitriol in simple disagreements? I don’t know you so I won’t jump to a rash judgment, but you keyboard warriors make me concerned for the future.

The one showing the strike zone? It appears to be lost in the new post saturation.

There's enough technology to take all umps off the field. If we can make self driving cars, we can sure as heck cover a baseball field with technology that can see everything and make an instant decision.

too much subjectivity for the strike zone in college baseball. It should be a defined area and not vary from game to game, or even worse, during the same game.

I agree with the original post about the strike zone being called incorrectly way too much. And it’s bad for both teams. The MLB umps are just as bad. Computer it.
