Miami had the ball with 30 seconds left, Tech had no timeouts, and Miami ran the ball rather than taking a knee. GT stripped the ball and recovered on their own 25. Several plays later, the Jackets scored the game winning TD. Unbelievable!
I’m really happy for Yellow Jacket fans. They’ve been through some rough times.

the Georgia Tech almost gave a chance right back to them for overtime, what the heck is the point of kneeling on the extra point? a 4 point lead vs 3 is huge. then short kicks it to the 42 yard line for miami, one pass interference call and they could try a fg. keep in mind these are the brightest minds allegedly getting paid millions

Yes! I have not seen one person mention this yet. Yes it was a very stupid coaching decision, but nonetheless, the dudes elbow was absolutely down before the ball got stripped.

I think his elbow was down too, but there was no clear view of both the elbow and the simultaneous status of the ball from what I saw. Since you can’t just “think” the elbow was down first, the call cannot be reversed. No indisputable video evidence one way or the other, so the call stands. If the call had been not a fumble, that would likely have stood also.
As for the initial call, remember they see it only in real time.
After all that, I don’t think it was a fumble, but they got the call right by rule.
It does seem that all of the shots could have a master clock timecode and that may have shown a different story. Heck, maybe they do; the technology certainly is in place for that. That approach might simply be too complex to be practical. This ain’t a court of law; the system is probably about right, as flawed as it is.

a few people on a separate thread seemed to think it was a stupid suggestion when i said dabo should fire certain coaches mid season (wr, ol) just want to point out GT fired there DC mid season prior to the Miami game and tonight created 4 turnovers.

Yea when ur 2-3 and lost to Bowling Green who really cares. Clemson has not been in a position where we were bad enough to fire a position coach mid season in a long long time.

GT is 3-3 were 4-2, its really no big deal is my point ( to fire a poor coach midseason) it might even improve things, which is why i suggest it. Holding onto a crap coach just for the sake of playing out the year is on dabo. he did that last year with streeter didn't turn out well did it.
