This weekend might be similar to the 18 Tigers.
I don’t think people understand how screwed up the Florida State program is right now.
People talk about how many wins they’re gonna have. People should be talking about ….. how are they going to score points. They are averaging less than 15 points a game. It’s really hard to see how they’re going to score points, regardless of who they play. They simply cannot score points.
Norvell has completely lost the locker room. It’s more than a bad team, it’s a bad program right now I do not see Norvell turning this around ever. It’s a question of what does the path look like from here to his firing.

There is no way they give us a competitive fight. They just are not capable with their current team and current program.
Our weakness is past defense. No matter who FSU plays at quarterback this weekend it will be the worst quarterback we’ve played all year. They are in trouble.
If DJ plays the whole game, I expect we beat them with ease.
If DJ does not play, it will be even worse, and I would not be surprised if we embarrass Norvell w historic numbers.

I’m just a bit shocked that everyone seems to feel that this game will NOT be close considering the history of this rivalry with FSU.
This is sort of like the Georgia-Auburn rivalry. Neither team is going to roll over.
IF Clemson wins this game handily and the outcome obvious by midway through the 3rd quarter, then I’ll have to concede that this TP-built FSU team has truly packed it in.
I for one expect this to be a dog fight.

Yes a wounded animal backed into a corner. I expect them to play harder and well exceed their 15 ppg average and if weird plays happen or if it rains it may well be a very close game. They still have talent and a decent coach and well there are the ACC refs.

Cade still hasn't proven that he can turn the corner in a big road game. Personally I just have this gut feeling that we get FSUs absolute best shot and we play extremely flat and lose the game. Everything is setup for a Clemson L. Night game in Tally and this W is literally the last thing y'all have to play for.

If someone in that locker room gets them fired up to leave it all out there and they play to potential, you are right and we are in for a dogfight. It’s gonna take a lot to rally those guys though after this start to the season. I hope Dabo and co. will do their job and emphasizing it into our guys that this is a hurt but dangerous team. Dabo’s record is pretty good going into games like this so I’m not too worried about our end. Still have nightmares of the Tommy Bowden letdowns though.

I expect FSU to come out with their hair on fire but they just don’t have enough talent to hang with us. Not throwing shade on State, they just don’t have an O line that can protect any QB. And our OLine is greatly improved. Both of our lines were in a dogfight vs Stanford but got it done. FSU ain’t that good.

Did you hear the "DJ sucks!" chants by fans? That was very poor taste whether you like him or not.
Looks like he got injured in 4th. Wonder if it's a serious injury or his pride? I would expect he would love to beat Clemson but he may stay injured so he doesn't have to endure loss from his predecessor?

As for the injury, it was his pinky on his non-throwing hand. They showed it on TV. Another player actually popped it into place. He continued to play. His being taken out was not due to injury. If it had been a one score game he would have continued to play.
DJ is a problem, for sure. But, there are so many other problems with the offense that we'd be 1-4 if Carson Beck or Jalen Milroe were our WB.
And, now, it looks like the defense is just going through the motions.

Manny Diaz has never lost to FSU as a Head Coach and will continue that at Duke.

Last time Clemson was going down to FSU in what on paper should have been a lopsided game in favor of Clemson - "the FSU brain-trust cancelled the dang game last minute"!

First and foremost; I wish both teams health coming in and going out of the game.
