I can stand there at the plate with the bat on my shoulder. In that situation with the pitch that close you got to swing & at least foul if off & live to see another pitch. He had been major disappointment at the plate this year.

Yes he has... especially given the accolades heaped on him by EB pre-season. Pitiful. Can't believe he watched that go by.

I played two years of college baseball at a small school. Honestly, I wasn’t very good . That’s why I only played two years. But, yes I could stand at the plate and take a called third strike.

Was definetley a questionable call, but you gotta swing and fight with two strikes. I think Gaffney just played in a weaker conference in the Big Ten and is still adapting to the acc style of baseball (which is alot higher competition), hes on ly a sophmore so he can only go up from here. If we go 4-0 this week all is forgiven and forgotten about.

He's a redshirt sophomore so hopefully he can improve. Not sure what competition he grew up playing in HS and travel being from Paducah, Ky.? Time will tell though.
