Saw “the real Band” of founder Brian Wilson in St Augustine Fl in 2012 for their 50th Anniversary and his “Reunion” with Cousin Mike Love and his band version of The Beach Boys.

Saying, that year BB founder Brian Wilson & cousin Mike Love combined their two bands for a one year tour.

Sadly, for over 10 years Mike Love has now owned The Beach Boys band name.

Also saw Brian Wilson’s Band in 2013 in St Auggie with his guest who was rated as a Top 10 All-Time guitarist Jeff Beck of UK (died in 2023) which was unique since both played a little of each other’s music to the delight of both fan bases there..

..and in 2014 I saw Mike’s BB Band at Peachtree City Ga near ATL..and Mike’s band again in Charleston around 2019.

Then in 2024 my Daughter invited me to see Mike’s band at MBeach (he’s was over 80 that night..while now ill and on a walker Brian was 83 that night and sitting at home in Calif listening).

And I’ve seen them in earlier years at Carowinds, Clemson & Charlotte.

Their Music never gets old since fun, happy & pure beach..

while Brian’s unreal & diverse talent goes beyond beach songs since his beautiful love song “God Only Knows” is considered the most favorite of one Beatles Band member.

I saw them in Fike field house in '67 or '68, along with Strawberry Alarm Clock and
the great Buffalo Springfield who saved the concert from being a disaster. The Beach
Boys did their idea of psychedelic music and they SUCKED.

They were on tour with Chicago. Great show. I've seen the BB's 3 or 4 times, from the 80s into the mid 90s. One of my all-time favorites (along with Chicago, too, for that matter).

It's sad to see how far gone Brian is now, but at his age, and given his past, it's not surprising.

Mike is now the only one to keep the band alive. He still sounds good and gets around (no pun intended!) ok. He's definitely the voice of the Beach Boys, while Brian was the spirit and heart. It's good that they're still out spreading the fun and sunshine!

Timeless music that has inspired generations of greats (the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, for two of the biggest names).
