it creates in those who apply our current definition to how fear is used in the Bible. Typically, we use fear today to denote a certain disturbing feeling of looming danger or harm.
Psa 119:
"120 My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments."
I admit that the prospect of seeing Jesus feels a bit like reaching out to pet the tiger who has been my friend for years, knowing it will be fine, but not because I decide it.
It's a mixed emotion from everyone who knows Him. We all know we could do better and I mean do better at following where He leads, living like He did with the love and concern for others that He has and the way we have failed to love.
I am full of regret and guilt from living carelessly and do so look forward to His gentle hand brushing the tears of regret, remorse and guilt from my eyes. I'm packed up and ready to go but I'm happy to wait until my time is full.
