QB/baseball players are ranked in the $4 mm signing category. If that’s the case, I think they are gone. Who will be our two backups. We all know that we have one of the better QB’s in the nation, but there is always that fear factor of an injury. Just as important is the fact that, with his size, he is a tremendous running threat. I am sure the coaching staff has taken that into consideration. We need him to be a running threat vs Georgia.

Fortunately or not, DJ can go all in against UGA. Then if he needs to miss a few games, a backup LB or any player can play QB vs. ACC schedule until we reach UNC/MIA championship game and playoffs. So no worries.

If the sign a baseball contract, they will start playing right away in a rookie league and miss fall camp. No way a team is going to give a $4 million signing bonus and let them play college football. I guess it could be in the contract, but I doubt a team would do that.

sufficient income during their cfb years to offset delaying the MLB guaranteed money? Particularly if one presumes that playing MLB or NFL is the goal, it might make sense for someone to try it.

Then if either of both players are drafted early, they have a decision to make. If the money's right, take the free money. College and college ball will be there if baseball does not work out after 2-3 years.
Russell Wilson played both routes, snd it worked out for him. One of these young ballers could eventually come back to Clemson as a backup and then give us one or two glorious years as a mature starter and a champion. Dabo gets the long game. Go Tigers!

if it bites us its because we put two prospects in that basket. Take one find another who is nonbaseball. Dj can do it but look at Tysun. Things happen. The way dabo plans and plans you'd think he would have done that actually.

I am sure that we have a few young guys that are going to get some snaps on scout team that played in HS as an emergency back up. Helms & Wiles are not enough insurance. Just hope it is not Spiers again! Anyone know might fit this role?
