Who was our best overall player in the 1960s?
I would say Charlie Waters. What do you think?

I was just a kid, but I remember Charlie W breaking his leg in a game. First time I had seen an air cast.

I'm not sure about "overall", but Harry O was clearly our best player. He made a few AA teams and was selected to the ACC 25th year anniversary team.

Don Chuy...a guy on the team back then said he was such a bad man, he did not eat with a knife and fork....he used his fingers and ate with his hands. He did not think he was human

Lou Cordileone tackle drafted by the Giants and the Bills (AFL). With a name like Cordileone you knew he was bad to the bone.

like he said above, Harry Olzewski and also Wayne Mass made some All-America teams as offensive linemen. They were both on the 1967 Playboy AA team. Bill Mathis at RB and Wayne Mulligan at C went on to long NFL careers.

Buddy Gore stands out to me from the 60’s. The ‘67 team was a good one and featured a bunch of good players - Jimmy Addison, Wayne Mass, Harry O, Phil Rodgers, Jacky Jackson, etc.
