My daughter is 7 and she is as disgusting as her older brother is. That may change as she gets older but right now it's a struggle.

I focus on cleanliness, efficiency and longevity/durability of things. If something is hard to maintain, I replace it. If the room is antiseptically clean, who cares if it is disheveled looking. Efficiency is the name of the game for me, not aesthetics or order.

and yes, it's true. Both have long hair (combined with the soap/shampoo residue) and it is a constant battle unclogging the shower and the sink drains. Otherwise, one of them (the youngest) is a total slob. Her room looks like a tornado went through it and her car looks like a homeless person is living in it.
The older one is neat as a pin and completely organized.

I have 4 daughters and yes they are absolute pigs in keeping their room and bathroom clean. They are older now and 3 are married but nothing has changed. Their houses look like mine did when they were in it.

Not that my daughter wasn’t neat and tidy, but the long hair and soap/shampoo residue clogging the shower drain is real. Same goes for my wife. If they have long hair, it is going to clog that drain at some point. When it does it is the slimiest, nasty mess imaginable.

I cleaned them when I worked at the Winn Dixie as a teenager. They were always dirtier than the men's. Never could quite figure out why, but my wife always mentioning how dirty women's bathrooms are as well.
Fortunately we had tile in there and I could just hook the cleaner to a hose and I sprayed the heck out of it. Never dried anything. Someone had a wet butt if they came in after I got finished.

My son was definitely a lot cleaner and neater than my daughter. I no longer live with her but hope it has gotten better.
I am on the OCD side so living with me is probably not very easy unfortunaely.

They are by far the nastiest of the two genders.
Couldn’t clean a toilet, hair and makeup everywhere, etc.
Wife had no idea how to clean up after herself when we married…..took the better part of 10 years before she learned how to pick up after herself.

Just check out the ladies shoe dept in a department store. It is always the untidiest department in the store. They try on the shoes and don't put them back in the correct boxes or in the correct spot on the shelf. What also kills me now is how some folks (men and women) will try on clothes in the dressing room and rather than put them back on the rack where they found them they wad up new clothes and just throw them on the dressing room floor. Disgusting to be that disrespectful.

I’m a woman and agree women are messier. Long hair in drains is no joke. I’m much sloppier than my husband. God bless him! I know it drives him crazy.
