I know this is random. But I applied but not early. Well half of my friends are already in. Having some regrets but then again they had 4.0 plus gpa's (Not quite there but not completley out of hope for Clemson). IDK just wanted to share my thoughts. Congrats to all whos kids got in last night btw

I saw your post. As a fellow non 4.0, A+ Honor Roll, President of the Beta Club, that submitted a Sub 1100 SAT score and managed to get in, don't give up! If you want it bad enough, there are ways to make it happen. Keep that belief and keep marching forward.

I would suggest that if the acceptance does not come, you enroll at Tri-County Tech and look at the "Bridge" path. This was not an option when I went to school. But I have heard positive things about the program. You can still enjoy the Clemson Experience, pass classes that count toward a degree and keep working towards getting that Clemson Diploma

When I attended Clemson, I could not believe I got in. Everyone around me had 4.0s and top 10 honors, etc. I was a B student at best in high school. What I found out when I got in was that I was drastically not prepared for the Math and Science that the Engineering program through at me. And you know what, most of the 4.0 kids weren't either. During orientation, Dr. Josey said look left, look right, 1 one you is going to make it. It was a true statement. Some folks are not going to put in the work to keep in school. I dont wish that to be the outcome for anyone. But its just the way it is. So keep working hard and keep trying! Spots will free up. Its been my experience that persistence usually pays off!
