I remember once I almost got in trouble because it was raining so hard and I was on an unfamilar road and couldnt see.

If we get the rain amounts being talked about there is going to be a lot of roads that floods. Folks need to be aware of this fact and stay on major roads if one has to travel.

I got caught in a flash flood in Charleston down around the Citadel years ago.

Water was deep enough that an 18 wheeler went by and it washed over my hood. How my engine did not completely drown out is a miracle. My V-6 suddenly became about a V-4 for a minute or two, but thankfully, I got through it. I could actually see the stop sign at the end of the street, looking like the water was only a foot or 18 inches deep. But, the street obviously had a low dip in it!
