I have seen a couple of comments/stories about firing Dabo. Those who spew this are Fools!

And they deserve to live thru the Hootie Ingram years. After incredible success, and the best thing that has ever happened to Clemson Football, these imbecile's can't seem to weather one bad season, or 4 losses.

Why don't y'all quit following Clemson.... I doubt any of you have an any affiliation with Clemson... simply musing of morons. You are what is wrong with sports.

What Dabo HAS acquired is the #1 Graduation rate of his football players in AMERICA - 99%. Oh, but I bet this doesn't matter to you. UGA is 42%.

The NCAA has completely destroyed college football, so what does it matter.

In my time, to get a Clemson diploma, the last maybe 40 credits had to be earned at Clemson. I may be wrong on the number but it was a pretty large number. To keep someone from going somewhere less stringent and using those credits towards the CU diploma. So how do these players that are portaling around ever graduate? Maybe they don’t. Maybe with the $$$& they don’t need to?

I keep asking the same question. Have you heard the term student athlete lately. No, because they are employees now.

Being the thing that happened to clemsons and being best for its future are two totally different things. Say what you want but if he doesn’t make substantial changes in philosophy on roster retention and who he keeps on staff as coaches then he will be fired or pushed out next year.

You also need to ask yourself what is Clemson football really about at its core. It’s not about graduation rates I can tell you that. Football is the heart of this school, has been for a long, long time. Losing and loss of money won’t be acceptable and it’s already happening.

Graduation rate is important and impressive...if you are also winning football games. It is an impressive secondary measure of the program's success, but it is nowhere close to the primary goal.

They aren't paying Dabo $11M to issue degrees.

First off it would cost in the neighborhood of $100M to get rid of Dabo and staff to bring in a new coach and staff. Second, to hire who exactly?

Why do people keep posting this? Dabo ain't gonna get fired. He knows it,

Clemson University knows it, I know it, and you should know it. We can't afford it.

Agree, it'll be interesting to see if he has the intestinal fortitude to do what it takes to get back.

But if we could afford it, would we make a change?
I’m just curious if people think we SHOULD keep Dabo based on merit or we HAVE to keep him based on economics.

a chance to turn the program around. He's earned that. So it does go beyond just economics. I'd love to see him overcome this season and prove everybody wrong. But he's gotta get on the A-train, post haste. Embrace this new era of what college football has become (unfortunately) and run with it. Make some tough decisions, trim off some dead branches on the coaching staff and go.

As someone said, it would cost $100M to fire him and replace the staff. That would buy a lot of studs.

I also agree he should have a chance to turn it around. But he has to realize that dramatic changes must be made this off season.

Nobody assessing NFL talent is looking for graduates first. They want well coached and active players knowledgeable enough to even attempt the NFL.

If we're worried about grades, they should see where this teams ranks nationally. It ain't good.

Speaking of grades, so transfers even need to adhere to academics or grades to enroll? Can schools just buy a bad grades, high football talent now? I doubt many are worried about grades anymore

Honestly I think Dabo is

doing some serious soul searching. He is all about the student athlete and the NCAA and E$PN have pulled the rug out from under him. Nick Saban as well, but he was at a different point in his career.

This has happened almost overnight and has become a lot like the wild west with those applying the resources getting the best athletes and coaches money can buy. Will other programs be able to jump up occasionally and be successful? Yes, look at Vandy for example, but that is nothing more than lightning in a bottle.

This is now geared for the big money programs with huge alumni bases who drive television markets and college degrees are by the wayside. I can see our BOT doing a similar amount of soul searching.

I posted in 2018 or 2019 that NIL would have a big time negative impact on Clemson Football. 🏈 Those coaches willing to get down in the pig slop and do business with the devil may reap success in the short term. In fact the millions and millions of dollars being invested in pay for play aka use to be known as college football could bring the roof down on all of us including those of us who loved real college football.

Dabo is trying to run his program with honesty and fairness to his players. Unfortunately, it has cost him some wins. I am sure Dabo has been doing a lot of Soul searching. But he als has tremendous Love for Clemson, his coaches, his players and yes the Fans.

I believe Dabo is dealing with this year’s adversity with much anxiety and disappointment. He knows that the fans are unhappy. Yet he tries to remain positive about the future. He knows changes have to be. He knows it’s a 💰💰💰💰💰 sport now. But how do you stay successful without bleeding the fans for more and more money.

Personally, I would not want any Head Coach that did care about Clemson as much as Dabo. Fans should realize he lives Clemson Football everyday. We as fans have ways to escape this years adversity while Dabo is constantly living it while focusing on the right moves to reenergize the program and the fans.

They say it can be lonely at the top. I believe Dabo is living in this time while the team struggles. People complain about his salary but I believe he has earned it. And I believe Dabo stays at Clemson because he wants to fix the situation and take Clemson back to the Playoffs and Win more National Championships. To get there Dabo will need the support of the fans.

I feel he has earned that opportunity 👍👍👍

True Clemson Fans will always love and support the Clemson Tigers. Even though adversity. Failure breeds success 🐅 🐅🐅

1. I don’t think Dabo is wired for the NIL, portal, revshare era. However, he (like all major college coaches) never had any problems jumping on these escalating coaching salaries. Wanting to produce 125 fine citizens and graduates is commendable - but that ain’t an $11,000,000 a year gig. There are countless public school teachers, counselors, administrators, etc., working with kids - that they don’t get to handpick from every corner of the country - who don’t make 1% of that. So I’m not dripping with sympathy for Dabo that college football changed in a way he doesn’t like in part because of the greed of coaches. But if doesn’t want to play ball to the fullest extent of the rules and CU’s resources in the new era, he needs to move on. He has more money than he will ever need.

2. I’m not sure what the issue is with the product on the field as it is now. Riley and Allen were considered good hires at the time. DJU and Klubnick were both five star quarterbacks out of high school. And they have all underwhelmed during “the decline” the last few years.

3. I think one problem is Dabo got too comfortable at some point. He’s not the same guy who talked to the media about making any mistakes “full speed” back in 2008 the day he became interim coach. He doesn’t have that D+ hire mentality anymore. Tom Brady played his whole career like he was trying to prove himself as the 199th pick. Saban had the same mentality. But Dabo hasn’t handled success well. Tyler from Spartanburg was right, and it’s more apparent now than it was then.
