How are premiums for player insurance paid? Or are premiums deferred till the player is drafted or injured and premiums deducted from proceeds.

School can pay them for up to 10 Million in coverage or they can be deferred until the NFL or if the player claims the policy at a low interest rate.

dood on the ACC radio show last night said the policy costs about $8,000 per $1 million of coverage.
