I would have preferred to hated the guy for the rest of his career. And I probably still will. But there are probably some kind hearts who will construe his apology as sincere. A snake in the grass, folks.

Now he will have to figure out if it's his own fans taking shots at him in social media, or Clemson fans. Most of the trash talk now will come from coots pretending to be Clemson fans in an attempt to boost him into more trash talk.

I don't mind good ol fashion trash talk as long as you've done something to back it up already. He hasn't even made a name for himself or even played a down there yet and already shooting off at the mouth. On the apology...I don't really care, its not going to make a dif either way. I pretty much believe Watson on not losing to them.

This is getting ridiculous. Watson fires a shot across the SCAR bow by saying he's going to beat SCAR every year he plays them, & a [heretofore unknown] Gamedick player takes issue w/the comment & posts an innocuous reply. His is harmless. 2 competitors posting statements of confidence in themselves & their teams. At most this is benign bulletin board material on both sides. Now Jones feels compelled/shamed into apologizing (or someone was compelled/shamed to force an apology)? Give me a f'n break. When do the sensitivity courses begin? Perhaps they should play in dresses? Oh, wait, that's sexist. Perhaps I should issue an apology?

or not it should not matter. Clemson and SC are competitors and some trash talk is enjoyable, I surely did not feel he needed to apologize for what he said, just good competitive bantar to help during these slow days until August!! If you can't take it, don't dish it out as the saying goes. Keep in mind these are words of a player who is in High School, I am not losing sleep over him saying anything and this is totally blown out of proportion and needs no press coverage to begin with.
