LOL, yet one more reason besides these not to watch ESPN:
1) The worst non-feature programming of any major television provider
2) The worst commentary during feature programming
3) The worst columnists. Does anyone believe that ANYONE working a beat in ESPN's New York office could hold Gene Sapakoff (who we all love to hate)'s jock? I've had interns write more coherently.
It really is laughable on every level. If we were into analogies, you could say that ESPN is Wal-Mart whereas rational sports discourse is small town business in America. You do the math.
As long as they appeal to the lowest common denominator, they will always publish this type of misleading, agenda-setting garbage.

ESPN itself uses AP poll until CFP Poll comes out. CFP poll does not update aftet playoff announced. As for power index, it is not a poll or ranking and nobody proclaims it to be. Clemson finished the seasoon ranked #2 in the nation by all final polls. Wish it was #1, but I'm getting over that. We are the #2 team in the land. Why did tigernet give any pub at all to that nonsense.

Yeah, but they're still presumed to be better than us because Big 12 > ACC. We're such a pee-wee, small-time program that Oklahoma just wasn't motivated when they played us. Heck, I wouldn't have been surprised if they'd rated South Carolina #25, you know, because SEC.
Being a Clemson Tiger means constantly having to tune out media BS. We all know that. It's easy enough to do, on the individual level, but unfortunately that doesn't solve the problem of media bias & vested interests. Because we all know the real harm that results - in sports as in politics, it is often the case that perception becomes reality.

Finally, ESPN makes total sense: Alabama, OU, OSU, Ole Miss, and then Clemson. This coming from a corporation that (in salary) pays Kirk Herbstreit, $250,000 per year and Chris Fowler $500,000 per year. Two guys that obviously can't read and can't count from 3 to 16. Herby called Scott, "Hopper" no less than 4 times on one play, while Chris called Leggett, "Scott" on his final TD. The only reason I could see OU ranked that high ahead of Clemson is if FPI stands for "Face Punched In".
