In June 2008, DeAndre McDaniel – a 6-foot-1, 218-pound defensive back for the Clemson football team – was arrested on charges of aggravated assault against his girlfriend. According to police, McDaniel covered his girfriend’s face with a comforter, choked her, punched her in the head and chest and then shoved her down a flight of stairs, causing “serious bodily injury.”

Unlike most people who are accused (falsely or not) of violence against women, McDaniel was permitted to participate in a pre-trial intervention program – and his arrest record was wiped clean.

He's an embarrassment to people that wear the Clemson uniform, not a fan! Especially weird after the increased sensitivity to domestic violence, which btw the state of South Carolina is top 5 (I think we may even be 1)

#### off coot

Jan 25, 2015, 7:17 PM

Do you think Dabo forgot about that? He made a mistake, learned from it and moved on. He hasn't got into any trouble since then. Go back to fgf and talk about the criminal records coot players and coaches have

People make mistakes. If they learn from them then their a normal human, if not their a Winston. Or gamecocks fan. Either is equally pathetic. Post that! Tweet that!

The truth is I spoke to a real Georgia fan, meaning from Georgia. He said that every .ga fan he know says the same 2 things. 1 they wish it was Clemson, not the coots in the SEC. 2 that coots are the most football ignorant fan base in the country. I mean who? Gets on other teams sites to post? Why would you? Other then there nothing to talk about but ,Clemson. Like I say. Alabama attitude. Vanderbuilt trophy case.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Sure, people make mistakes.

Jan 26, 2015, 7:48 PM [ in reply to Re: FB Update: DMac is Back, and he's excited about the chance to work with young secondary talent ]

But her bogus account was refuted by no less than 3 eyewitnesses.

Notice that the news article didn't even list an author. What a crock of chicken sheet!!!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Anyone quoting FITS"News" has no credibility whatsoever

Jan 26, 2015, 6:49 AM [ in reply to Re: FB Update: DMac is Back, and he's excited about the chance to work with young secondary talent ]

You might as well be quoting the National Enquirer. That site is a load of bullcrap.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Regardless of the source, it actually happened.

Jan 26, 2015, 9:52 AM

Now, whether he should be consigned to pay for that mistake for the rest of his life is a different matter. I abhor the crime, but he's done what he's legally obligated to do to pay his debt to society. In my book, he's free to pursue whatever career he wants, with whomever he wants.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm sorry but your statement

Jan 26, 2015, 7:47 PM

that it "actually happened" is based on what exactly?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Based on the copious number of articles that were posted

Jan 27, 2015, 9:14 AM

Here and numerous other media outlets.

Use Google and will easily be able to find a news report. I'm not doing your research for you.

Just because you personally don't have knowledge of something doesn't mean it didn't happen.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Unsubstaniated claims actually happened

Jan 26, 2015, 7:52 PM [ in reply to Regardless of the source, it actually happened. ]

basically, nothing happened. McDaniel has been squeaky clean since.

Re: Unsubstaniated claims actually happened

Jan 27, 2015, 9:15 AM

Agree - but police were involved, so there was some kind of incident. For which he has taken responsibility and done what was required of him, which was basically nothing. Hence my statement about him being free to proceed with the rest of his life.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

the key point being 2008! If there had been ANY issues in 6

Jan 26, 2015, 11:50 AM [ in reply to Re: FB Update: DMac is Back, and he's excited about the chance to work with young secondary talent ]

Preseason #9 to steveport

35-17. 66-42-4.......

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They were charges only because she said it happened.........

Jan 26, 2015, 7:46 PM [ in reply to Re: FB Update: DMac is Back, and he's excited about the chance to work with young secondary talent ]

...meanwhile 3 eyewitnesses refuted her story and called her a liar. She henceforth didn't show up to any of the pertinent proceedings and stopped pushing the bogus charges.

You can't punish people based solely on someone's unproven accusations, otherwise I'd call you a mental invalid and have you confined to a rubber-padded cell for the rest of your life. Your coot spiel may make a little more sense if it were actually based on facts instead of your delusional garbage. Try a little harder next time.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Your problem is you're confusing two issues

Jan 27, 2015, 9:18 AM

(1) whether there was an incident involving DMac in which the police were called. That actually happened.

(2) whether he was guilty of the alleged offenses. He was not. That also actually happened.

But by asserting number 2 you can't simply ignore number 1.

Butthurt about Artavis Scott still running on your soft football team?

He's gonna do it against next year in front of a stadium full of mouthbreathers, too.

2016 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

^^^First thing I thought of.^^^^ Had him pointing at Ponder

Jan 26, 2015, 5:08 PM

as my wallpaper for a year or so. He'll love the intensity Kearse plays with, and having Alexander + Fields can only make his job easier. Every day it's getting better and more exciting to be a CU Tiger. Nice to be one of the few team's that can reload, and not have to rebuild even with what we lost. Yes, I do expect to see some drop off from last year but, after losing the players we did and having the #1 D in the nation, that's not a terrible problem to have. I feel confident that we're not ever going to be horrible on D with CBV at the helm.
